Blood clots on the lungs too, apparently. A timely reminder that Covid can still be a nasty experience even for younger people in good physical shape. Hopefully Big Dave will boot the virus into Row Z soon enough, but it's wise to stay sensible for a month or two until the jabs have been full rolled out.

Or as David Beckham described him when asked if he was a great defender, Beckham answered "I wouldn't say great, but you do need a road map to go round him".

Firstly ..... Any news on how he is??

Secondly ..... Now out of his hands,

Wednesday's last game is away to Derby, win that and their level on points with them with a better goal difference. Trouble is Rotherham have the same points, a better goal difference and a game in hand. They play mid week before finishing with a game against Cardiff.

Big Dave can still be Wednesday's saviour but needs Rotherham to Get less than three points.

He issued a press release this week and is apparently doing better but still not at work, not much else given in terms of details. I believe he will not be around for our final game but I would hazard a guess he might be breaking down doors to be at the game!!!

Hadn't realised that Derby were in such a mess. That prompted me to look up what George Thorne is up to nowadays, and it seems he's been a free agent since last summer, having been released by Oxford United where he was playing for free. Career basically over at 28. Spends a lot of time tweeting support for the Rams though; not sure if he's angling for a back-room position or if he just loved his years there that much, even though he only managed a few dozen appearances. But it's all such a far cry from the night he signed his first senior contract in the centre circle at Albion in 2009, and was talked up as the Next Big Thing and future England material. Football can be desperately harsh.
