Didn't Reece Wabara play for Wigan against us last season? Didn't he make the team of the season or something? He was certainly a youth international.

Wigan released him at the end of last season for no apparently good reason. Leeds and a couple of others were going to pick him up but no one has .........

Now probably there's a reason he's moved clubs a bit after leaving Man City but then there was a big reason we got Ched Evans (ex Man City) and it didn't stop us.

He's not specifically what we need but he's a better player than any of our back four. Whether he'd consider us is another question, but Ched might help. I reckon I'm right he's still free but researcher Matt might unearth the truth, so what about Reece Wabara?

Good player. Question is could the club afford his wages?

He's not had a contract since June and needs chance to restart his career somewhere he'd look good (how could he fail with us?) and maybe even somewhere where he has a former teamie like Ched Evans ...........

Normally I do look out for cheap options though ........ come the transfer window I'd consider plugging our centre back weakness with Dunfermline's centre back Richards-Everton, he spent a lot of time in non-league but is only 25-ish, a big lad known as a good defender a former England C cap ..... played virtually every game last season and with the state of Scottish football he'd come dirt cheap.

I also like a full back at Newport who they don't seem to rate - Jazzi Barnum-Bobb. They got him from Cardiff. He needs a break, he's not Welsh, he's young .......

It doesn't look like a Championship side will come in for Wabara - even Rotherham and they go for anybody - so if he hasn't decided to retire at 24 somebody at our level will pick him and play him against us.

Its very surprising what has happened to Wabara. It was only last season that he had a big money move ,somethings not right.

Look at Morsy he moved to Wigan and now he's on loan for the whole season at Barnsley.

Wabara at right back and Morsy in the middle of the park and we'd be talking about the play-offs not sacking the manager.
