At this moment in time I would like to punch the bastard that set up this fixture with a 4am Pacific time kick off!!!!

So we once again engage the Village, this time at their gaff, in a "rivalry" that stretches back to the pub league in terms of the football and one that goes back to the old BBC 606 forum in terms of the banter. Since then we gained promotion together, have both managed to consolidate in the Championship and both moved to first New606 and then onto here from a fans perspective!! In the 10 meetings since we got to know each other we definitely have the upper hand with a record of W4 D4 L2 and this fixture has been a pivotal one in terms of shaping somewhat our seasons.

But this season its maybe different. Their new manager seems to have changed the way they play and as a consequence they welcome us to a virtual full house as leader of the division. I haven't seen them play at all this season but I think they play a more pressing game and try to play on the ground, either way they are probably a different proposition to anything we have seen from them in the past few years. Still even though this is a tough game, it has been a decent fixture for us so there is no reason why we cannot keep that going.

Last seasons away fixture saw our favorite and their least favorite player Forestieri score the only goal of the game in the 83rd minute to grab all three points for us, that will do nicely again please!!!

THE LAST MATCH

Seems like an eternity ago that we played our last game!!! To be fair Brighton were due to beat us at sometime and it duly arrived two weeks ago. Their first ever win at S6 and one that they seemed to deserve with another stuttering performance from us. We have to sort out some consistency if we are going to seriously challenge this season!!

Midfield needs flooding with battlers jones hutch lee bannan and possibly reach this is going to be a game of blood and guts and mistakes will cost eaither side the game !! so no room for wallace or hooper from the start as holes will cause errors of our flimsy back 4 !!
