Pulis to be sacked rumour
#1
There are strong rumours circulating tonight that Pulis will be sacked tomorrow (Mon) or will walk out.

Roy Hodgson and Frank de Boer mentioned as possible replacements.

Not sure how true any of this may be but, they are coming from respected posters on other sites and ITK'ers.

It's almost standard operating procedure now for new owners to bring in their own manager fairly early on, so these rumors were probably to be expected. I do worry though when clubs make this decision straight away. Our new owner waited 1/2 a season before making the change, not sure yours can wait that long. Pulis will likely keep you up, sure it will be dull and involve 7 CHs in the first team but you will still be in the prem. Some of these owners have not made great decisions, particularly with choosing foreign managers who might look good on paper but do not know the English game, and before you know it you get relegated - aka Villa and Remi.

Frank De Boer gone to Inter. BBC Football.

Former England manager Roy Hodgson has turned down two job offers, one in China and another in the Premier League, and may now retire from football.(Bleacher Report)

Roberto Mancini is available after his sacking by Inter Milan and dare I say it????..........................Steve Bruce is looking for a job. A decent manager with a decent record. If he was given money to spend he would do a better job than Pulis who seems to overpay for every player and then leaves them in the stands unless they are 6'4" and he will then play them anywhere.

Football isn't all about surviving, its called FOOTBALL because that's what you are supposed to do, play Football........The PULIS WAY will just about keep you up but my god its the worst football I have ever seen.

I hope he goes for the sake of my beloved Albion and my sanity.

Get someone in who can attract the players, give him the money to spend and lets see where we go because we are hovering just above disaster with our dangly bits just above the snapping teeth

While being previously supportive of TP, I must admit to becoming somewhat ambivalent towards him.  I witnessed the Kiddie and West Country games and we were dire.  However, with the ownership change, we don't want the boat rocking more than it is.  In my opinion, calling for coaches like Bruce and Mancini would be making change for change sake.  Bruce specialises in relegation and leaving clubs and considering all the resources he had at Citeh, Mancini's success wasn't spectacular.

Not spectacular???....... I'm not expecting spectacular mate but MEDIOCRE or P*SS POOR would be a big improvement on what we get under Pulis.

Time to go or maybe wait a month BUT then we have the worry he will spend millions on players who are not worth it then the new manager will be onto a loser.

New owner..................clean sweep, get it done asap. New manager and his ideas and players he wants instead of average players he can't change until January when it maybe too late.

just my opinion Thumb up

I agree mediocre would be a step forward, Worldclass. Just don't want to jump from the frying pan to the fire. Although I was miffed when he left us so soon, I would have old Woy back. He seemed able to achieve relative success working within our Club's tight resources and parameters. Can't think of many who'd fit. Has Martinez got a job?

Oh! Just read he's Belgium's manager.

I'd try and get Giggs in: has the profile to bring in new names, command the dressing room and get the excitement back; great education under Fergie, Moyes and Van Gaal; young enough for us to be an attractive first job; knows Fletcher, Evans well so should integrate easily; plays football the right way.

Whoever said get Bruce in should be barred from this forum for good... Wink

Yes to Woy, any day.

And I heard Jonny Evans is an Arsenal target.
