OK, away from the off-field bollocks, there's another three points to be won here against a team struggling for form (or possibly struggling to understand the concept of defending in numbers against Hearts  Rolleyes ). With the Edinburgh Derby taking place on Sunday, could there be an opportunity to close the gap a wee bit?

Team Selection:
Mohsni will be serving the last of his three-match suspension, so I'd expect McCulloch/MacGregor to continue in defence, with the rest of the team reverting to the normal format - Miller, Boyd - Black, Law, MacLeod, Aird etc.

Team Tactics:
As mentioned, we'll no doubt be up against a packed defence again, so it'll be vital to get the ball on the deck and try to play to Miller and Boyd's feet rather than hoofing long balls from the back. It'll also be nice to play on a proper grass surface away from home for a change. That should enable us (or Ian Black, more to the point) to control our sometimes wayward passing to a degree.

One for the Conspiracy Theorists:
As Dumbarton's manager is former 'Ger and Hibee Ian Murray, I fully expect Rangers to win comfortably.  Wink

Cheers Larry.

Can't see many other possibilities than the lineup you give, Trus. The only changes to it that we might see IMO - though I'd say it's not that likely - are Templeton in for Aird (depending on how Ally thought Temps performed against East Fife) and Faure in for Foster if he thinks it'd be better for Foster to skip a game or 2 after the incident with the fans.

The side is finally starting to look quite settled, with a fairly consistent core and some others who can rotate in without disrupting the side overall. We just need to convert possession into chances and goals now and cut out the misunderstandings at the back.

No surprises from McCoist here - http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/...contention

MacLeod, Miller and Boyd back in contention, and a "here's one we prepared earlier" excuse thrown in for good measure.

Here's a tip Ally - <pub league advice>If it's too windy, keep the ball on the deck.</pub league advice>
