Falkirk v Hibs, Sat 6 August, KO 3.00pm

Well our 1st Championship league match looms ever closer and it looks like there could still be some late additions to Lenny's 1st team squad. Watch this space. I'm wondering who will be 'between the sticks' at the Falkirk Stadium. One thing that does not concern me is a Falkirk threat this time around. This game is all about Hibs, the huge 'feel good factor' that is still prevalent within the club and is evident throughout our fan base, and if Hibs are gonna tackle this match with a positive vigour that will quickly dismantle any Falkirk resistance. I want an impressive start to the season, no messing! I'll predict a 1-3 or 1-4 score line and will be disappointed if Hibs don't continue with another impressive team display.

This should be the start of a very good season for you guys. The so called other big teams have now gone, this is your time to take the bull by the horns and win the league in a relative canter just like Hearts and Rangers have done in the previous two seasons. Having Lennon at the helm should really help you imo, he will not let the players rest and has a fire in his belly that will transfer to the team. Hopefully we can all finally forget about the Scottish Championship board on here once and for all!!!! Good luck!!

Got tickets for this, can't come quick enough now.

I think big holt is going to make all the difference this season if we can keep him fit. Falkirk are very difficult opponents on their own patch so we are starting off with a very hard game but the manager has a track record of making an impact early on at teams so here's hoping that continues.

Word is lennon's trying to add another couple before the weekend.

Hibs win 2:1 with both goals from Jason Cummings scoring just after the start of each half.

Better start than last year so lets hope it bodes well.

We attained the win - main objective done and noticeable that Dundee Utd and St Mirren have already dropped pts. Also Jason enhances his reputation 'early doors'! Thumb up There's a long way to go but good to see another decent team performance on a crap artificial pitch and no horrendous ref decisions to hinder us like the two play off games v Falkirk last season!

Good 3 points. More direct play using the wide areas and big holt seems our style. Lennons interview after was good acknowledging where we have to improve and praised what we did well.

Good start to our mini league with Falkirk at the least eh?

Off for a meal in Stirling now.

Aye! That's a good shout for Scott Martin! He's one of too few young Hibs players who have played at a reasonable level in Hibs dev side and it's good to see some kinda progress from these players although it's only one step in the right direction - much more to do in order make it as a young up n coming player!
