Just got home from the game and have to say great shift put in by the players (and fans !)
Thought Dorrans, Wisdom and Dawson were superb and Bruntys pass for Saidos goal , wow ! 4 players who I am delighted to say keep proving me wrong and AI right for picking them. Lescott bit off form tonight compared to previous games ?
Deserved to win but let's beat Palace on sat and it will be a good week :-)

I noticed that on Breakfast news this morning they ignored Sess's opening goal and, showed part of the Van Gaarl interview where he is heard spouting gibberish about different biscuits but, no interview with AI or any of our players.

It's great to be recognised aint it!!!!!

What's wrong with Ben by the way?

Calf strain in training apparently Silver although its reported he Tweeted he is hopeful for Saturday. Didn't see the Tweet myself as I don't fully understand these Tweets and Twitters etc !!!  Getting old I suppose !

Great performance yesterday. I had hoped we would have put out a more attacking line-up but I have to admit Dorrans played a blinder and Brunty's through ball for Saido's goal was sublime. Brunt has never been a favoutite of mine but I have to admit, his vision and some of his passes are exquisite and make up for some of his shortcomings.

Dawson was awesome although Lescott was good, he did make some errors and was pushed of the ball too easily by that giant Felani to score. Sess seemed to drift in/out of the game but what a cracking opener !

Can't complain though, I had posted on here that I would have settled for a point given the talent of the Man Ure team. Everyone seems to be raving about Di Maria but I wasn't impressed enough to say he was worth £60m plus. For me, Man of the Match was a toss-up between Dozza and Daws.

If we play like that against Palarse, we should destroy them but....  you know what the Baggies have always been like against lesser opposition !

Yeh - talking about that Fellini goal.......it isn't just because it was against us and cost us a goal - that was a DEFINITE push on Lescott! All that crap about 'being out muscled' that they spouted - when you're just going to jump in order to head the ball you WILL be easy to push off balance! Can you imagine the fuss that would've been made if it was the other way round? It just wouldn't have happened. Angry

On reflection, although it's always disappointing to concede in the last few minutes, IMO a draw was a fair result. Suprised that Mulumbu didn't come on 10 mins or so earlier but that's being hyper critical. The pressure was building so much, some of the defending was Sunday League stuff at the end! I honestly thought we may even concede again in injury time so. all in all, a point is a great return.

I'm absolutely amazed how good Saido has become. Such great control and turning ability in the tightest situations; the ability to spot space and evade the markers (mind you, I think that I could've lost Jones last night!), and to play those exquisite 1, 2's ...... and of course his finishing! Fabulous to watch!

Just another mention for Dozza too - thought he was immense in every aspect of his game, and made the right decision virtually every time.

AI ROCKS!!!! Whistle Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
