Raheem Sterling is absolute pish he will be out of Manchester double quick when Pep arrives, they are going to take a major hit for him as he's nothing more than championship material,Liverpool must be pissing themselves £50m for a player who had a great half season.

It was bold in that he made a double substitution at half time whereas most England managers have waited until 60 minutes plus he brought on three strikers with Rashford when most of the experts were saying the third sub should be a midfielder.
Ten days ago, everyone thought Kane should lead our attack. Now pretty much everyone has changed their mind. If we had Cappello, Sven or McLaren as manager, players like Dier, Alli, Kane, Vardy wouldn't be in the squad. Whether it works, who knows but at least we are giving ourselves a chance.

Reading the articles this morning, you'd think we've won the tournament
Some of us had said Vardy should start this one. I was of the impression Kane should've started against Russia though.
Woy was forced into making changes, HT was the best time to make them as we'd produced nothing and Wales were winning. Even then it wasn't until a terrible mistake by Ashley Williams that played Vardy onside to gift us a goal. Next to an own goal that's the worst thing a defender can do!!
Now the game opened up as Wales were slightly deflated and could no longer afford to sit & defend as they had previously. England after the 3 subs were producing much better, this is true.
If you're honest about the winner it's just one of those things. We saw it with France the day before, the opposition were worn down, expecting to hold for the draw. Then a debatably lucky goal made it over the line in 90+ minutes. And we beat the mighty Wales ( With help from Wales)
Suddenly, Woy is vindicated? he made "Inspiring Subs" It's no wonder the same pattern repeats in Britian, people are a glutton for it. We were only in the game for the final 30 minutes now people are of the impression we can do something at this Tournament
On a slightly separate note, is it true that People are being told to take their England flags down from Pub's and homes? That would be pretty ridiculous if it were true.

Just feel that there needs to be a degree of balance. Hodgson has been criticised when he gets things wrong so is entitled to praise when he gets things right. I would have started with Vardy but half the goals in the Euros have been scored by substitutes and half the goals have come after the 75th minute so maybe it isn't down to luck when you score late with substitutes.
While we haven't been great, neither has anyone else. The level is so close between all the teams so matches will be won by fine margins. The question is who can win the important matches.

I suppose that's fair.
I'm more on the side of his hand was forced, so it is difficult to give credit to someone left with little to no choice.
I can't argue against the under-performance of Europe's super powers. All pretty poor considering. Or, is it that teams such as Iceland, Albania, Slovakia even Wales are not so far behind anymore?
We haven't exactly enjoyed a banquet of beautiful football to feast on, we may never at this rate
Italy win with an 88th minute goal.
Last few minutes are definitely the most dangerous in this tournament, MS!

We have seen many instances in the past where you you would imagine that a manager's hand was forced into action & he hasn't taken it. At least Hodgson did the bold move. Hopefully this continues.
The "lesser" nations are better organised now so are better equipped to make life tough for the big nations. It appears that the best way to win is to put on enough pressure that they fade in the final ten minutes.

Don't call them "lesser" nations. MS. You'll have people with torches & pitchforks outside your door
You are right though. I'll concede that part at least. Woy did act rather than stubbornly doing nothing at all.
