I already hate it but I'll be force fed it today.it's the most boring tune on earth and the words make me cringe.
It's on trooping the colour now and later before the game then throughout by the fans .
What happened to the campaign to change it ?
Give me Jerusalem or that other one I can't remember the name of anyday .

Yes that's the one
You're right I suppose I can just about tolerate it under the right circumstances like the pomp and ceremony occasions.
It's totally off putting when 'sung' by thousands of cock sure English blokes .

I enjoyed it when it was played at Wembley for the playoff final. Wasn't actually expecting it to be played but it was good when both sets of fans joined in, as did I. But then for me I hardly ever hear it, so when I do it fosters a bit of pride in me.

A dirge, fit for funerals and sod all else. I just wish the England fans would learn another song.

I don't mind it if just played as the anthem. I cannot abide it being repeated as a chant.

If the German dwarf pegs out before her wing nutted son, can he, or his first born just in case, pick another tune? Or can we have another referendum that doesn't involve Dave the Smooth or Boris the Numpty?
