That enough for me folks!!!

I'm signing off and joining the ranks of the missing posters.

It used to be fun to visit while it lasted but not anymore and, right now there's not even football to debate..
Dread to think what it will be like when the new season starts.

And the same from me. I'll not participate in discussions on a site where a member deems it appropriate to criticize a supposed personal attack and follow it up with an insult.

I'll simply make do with conversation with fellow supporters in person who are in no way as jaded as a few posters on here make things out to be.

Suggest then Tibby, you don't attack people who are anti-Pulis with comments you made like:

"Really? Well I'd say you're the quintessential fairweather fan then. A glory hunter, only interested when the team is doing well. Cheerio and good riddance"

Why stoke the fire with your own personal attacks on forum members and then take umbridge when someone critises you. It works both ways you know.

Jesus Christ! I set this up for football debate. I get enough tittle tattle and name calling between my kids and so this is supposed to be a break from it all.

We all think the footie can be better

We all can't wait for the real transfer activity to happen

We are all over tetchy with each other - fellow Albion fans

FFS Grow up and get a tougher skin. I agree it is a little tedious to have people rattle on about how they dislike TP incessantly and expressing no other football view at all. But it is their right to do so. People can if they want to 'ignore' a member so not to see their posts. Extreme but can be done.

Let's enjoy the summer. Let's watch the play offs and Euro's unfold and debate that.

Fact is TP is staying.

Fact is he will buy players. Let's wait until one is confirmed before condemning the summers activity.

Fact is they will play in the Premier League next season. It could be a stunning season or not and we can discuss it then.

Nope not at all, simply pointing out arrogance and speaking as I find. To which I will add that other posters have given me likes in this exchange... In your new self appointed role as moderator; interpret that however you choose.

Personally, I think its far easier to just skip past the comments that you don't like and focus on other contributions and enjoy the banter of others. To dilute their words create new threads with new interesting things for people to debate with you and deflect from the school ground Yes it is, no it isn't diatribe.

Plus, if the Albion posts are getting a little repetitive go talk to the Sheffield Wednesday guys about the Play-off final or join in the debate about the Euro's. Add to that we have Test Cricket and soon Wimbledon to discuss.

Don't just run away because someone has an apposing view and an inability to articulate it very well or at least in a varied manner. If they are being too offensive then Ska'd will have a word with them and then take action if required - but debate can and is entitled to get a little heated, but not aggressively offensive. (Read some of the threads on the Rangers and Hibs board to see how 'heated' and personal some conversations can get - they seem to cope).

However, for the record - To ignore a member then what you need to do is:
  • Click on 'User CP’ at the top left of the screen
  • Left hand set of menus, 3rd group down under ‘Miscellaneous’ you select ‘Buddy/Ignore List
  • You can then enter the user name and select to ignore
This will mean that you will see a thread but not the 'Ignored' persons contributions (They will not know that they are flagged to be ignored) -However, you will see others make reference to them and potentially view any quoted sections, so not a full escape from what might have irked you.

Obviously you can undo this when you want.

Just to let you all know that iam 37 years of age and started going up when Megson became manager which doesn't exactly make
me a glory hunter does it, had a season ticket under Megson and also Bryan Robson but gave it all up when I finally came to my
senses and realised how sad it is seeing grown men burping and wearing football shirts, still see every game via live streams which I guess makes me a kind of armchair fan. Would never pay to go up now as Pulis has totally killed the atmosphere
with his anti football, If Hammond seriously believes Pulis is the man to take us forward then the bloke must be a fool that's all
I can say.

Don't quite get this "I'm off 'cos I don't like being called stupid" bollocks. The shool playground taught me to brush off offensive comments, and football is all about opinions and giving/taking stick.

Come on, Baggies. The one thing that unites us is our love of the Albion. Our support has been pretty wishy-washy the last couple of years, but the one thing that united us over the dismal 90s was our togetherness, even when we had some diabolical excuses for Managers. Let's get together next season and regain our Best Fans status whatever the performances, starting now on this forum.
Instead of name-calling, let's remember that we'm all BAGGIES!
