Personally, I think its far easier to just skip past the comments that you don't like and focus on other contributions and enjoy the banter of others. To dilute their words create new threads with new interesting things for people to debate with you and deflect from the school ground Yes it is, no it isn't diatribe.
Plus, if the Albion posts are getting a little repetitive go talk to the Sheffield Wednesday guys about the Play-off final or join in the debate about the Euro's. Add to that we have Test Cricket and soon Wimbledon to discuss.
Don't just run away because someone has an apposing view and an inability to articulate it very well or at least in a varied manner. If they are being too offensive then Ska'd will have a word with them and then take action if required - but debate can and is entitled to get a little heated, but not aggressively offensive. (Read some of the threads on the Rangers and Hibs board to see how 'heated' and personal some conversations can get - they seem to cope).
However, for the record - To ignore a member then what you need to do is:
- Click on 'User CP’ at the top left of the screen
- Left hand set of menus, 3rd group down under ‘Miscellaneous’ you select ‘Buddy/Ignore List
- You can then enter the user name and select to ignore
This will mean that you will see a thread but not the 'Ignored' persons contributions (They will not know that they are flagged to be ignored) -However, you will see others make reference to them and potentially view any quoted sections, so not a full escape from what might have irked you.
Obviously you can undo this when you want.
