Summer Transfer Thread

We have signed Grimsby's Jon Nolan on a free transfer. He's 24 and a central midfielder.

He's played for Grimsby since January and before that was at Lincoln City. Grimsby fans are pretty miffed that's he left because they rate him pretty highly and deep down they say they knew he would play at a higher level.

Now let's get this right. We signed Ginger Nolan. We'd like to sign "The Ginger John Terry". As a former ginger can anyone see a pattern forming?

How about Nicky Law? Did okay for Rangers. Apparently only 28. Don't think he has much hair at all, so it wouldn't really clash with the ginger theme.

And we could of course plunge into Doyle?!££££££££?

I remember many years ago I was at Matlock vs Chesterfield it was a pre-season friendly and this woman stood near me could tell who was who just by there haircuts.

According to Chris Turner there could be a couple more coming in soon.However I'd have sooner heard this from someone else to make it more believable.

All we need to do is sign Declan John, Lee Novak and a RB and we should be ok.

Matt, we have a good left back in Jones, we have good right back in O'Neil. If Evatt is fit again him and Hird were solid enough but we may need cover in that area. Midfield was where we were overrun many a time last year and up front we were toothless even with Novak. Minimum 2 more forwards and 2 midfielders for me.

Look what happened and the amount of injuries we got last season. We don't need another LB, we need a RB, centre back, keeper for cover and another striker and that's it or we get versatile players who can play anywhere a bit like Darikwa, Clucas did. You always need cover in case you get injuries or the alternative is bring in loan players for the injuries.
