Sco lets get one thing right here. I'm not saying it was right for the fans to run on to the pitch but the fans who ran on to the pitch did this to celebrate the clubs BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT in 114 years. It's very clear on tv footage Rangers players where either off the pitch or making their way off the pitch.

Any trouble started when the Rangers fans came on to the pitch why they done this nobody will understand this but it's clear they could not handle the celebrations of the HFC fans. I've looked at lots of papers and tv footage and there's lots more evidence that Rangers fans assaulted more HFC fans than the other way around. Even very clear picture of one Rangers fans trying to pull a small hibs fan away.

Now one point I'd like to make is when HFC made the score 2-2 or even when they went 3-2 up why dd the stewards and police not make a human chain at both ends of the ground they had plenty time to put this measure in place if they had done this then nobody would be talking about any trouble.

There's more stories coming out all the time I heard from a friend of mine who attended the Official Team Party at Easter Rd on sat night he told me that a few players had txts from rangers players to congratulate them on winning the cup and also said that Kenny miller was meant to have went into the hibs dressing room and shook hands with the hibs team. Believe what you wish but IMO HFC are getting a lot of bad & unnecessary press.

I am not suggesting you are condoning it but the media should be focused on the historic win, instead the actions of a small minority is taking all the headlines and that is a shame!!  No Hibs fans on the pitch and no Rangers fans feel the need to go on either, you can lay the blame for the media storm wherever you want but it was the Hibs fan that invaded, anything that happened after that was as a direct consequence of that invasion.  I also accept that 99% of those on the pitch were there to celebrate the fantastic win, but it will cost you as a club and tarnishes your reputation.

Honestly SCO, you would think Hibs fans were the 1st ones ever tae run on tae a pitch in celebration at the end o' a game. It is also starting tae look like some o' the Huns more outrageous claims o' violence against their staff and players are total pish. So far 1 video o' their keeper getting shoved, which is wrong and I hope the culprit is identified, and 1 photo o' somebody standing in front o' lee Wallace waving his hands, which, as somebody pointed out on another site, looking at the photo he was either no where near Wallace or he's only 3ft tall. What is really at the bottom o' this is the Huns had budgeted , both financially and player wise, for being in Europe next year and they already had the Scottish cup won before a ba' was kicked and the only way that's gonnae happen now is tae get us kicked out and them take our place. Rangers= no shame- no class

Look at other sports like rugby union or league and great cup final wins and final day league wins have occasionally resulted in pitch invasions that I've never heard a big deal being made by the tv or radio commentators! Hampden experienced joyous celebrations with some fans joining the players and staff! In fact, they could well have carried their Hibs heroes back to Embro in sheer happiness and relief! Swap Rangers presence in these joyous scenes with other clubs like Aberdeen, Ross Co, ICT, Falkirk etc and we'd only be discussing a joyous pitch invasion which would be rightly criticised but was understandable!! The violent reaction from a small faction of Gers' fans is what they do under certain trying circumstances and that's what they are about - the worst offenders in Scottish footie! We all know this as fact and it's time their seedy culture was properly dealt with by the authorities who should stop tolerating it. That's the nub of this whole debate!!

The media here are not called "the laptop loyal" for nothing. Bought and paid for,as we have seen documented in the fall out of rangers liquidation when certain papers and communications were leaked.

Why the xxxx would the hibs support care what they think? It's not like we got our trophy presented in the bogs like they did in the nou camp.

Great day, and the pitch invasion was tremendous.

Good point re their Cup Winners presentation and disgrace at the Nou Camp and here's another piece of negative factual info re the Govan footie club and it's fans' behaviour. In the three Euro finals that they've played in - Fairs Cities cup final v Newcastle in the 60s, the Nou Camp final in 1972, and the Europa League final in Manchester - every one of those finals were tarnished by outrageous violence with 'fueled up' Rangers fans heavily involved in it - no coincidence there and that disgraceful culture still exists in the newly named RFC! Thumb down

As an outsider (who wanted Hibs to win) I felt sorry for the players and manager who got their big moment de-railed. As they hadn't won the Cup since the Industrial Revolution I can understand the excitement.

I've often wondered how you effectively punish an organisation and get through to errant supporters everywhere ...... cos it's a pretty dangerous situation, however they film it.

Now I've said this before and I usually get placed in the recovery position till I get over it, but if were up to me I'd make both clubs play in the Scottish Cup for the next couple of seasons with ten men only (throughout). It would be really interesting, supporters wouldn't be able to forget what they'd done to their club and players, and the club would suffer by only having dog's chance of winning the trophy. There's no point in punishment unless we all get to enjoy it!

Ha ha ha!! Laugh Aye Fredster - the 'offended party routine', and any other excuse, bails them out every time even though they are the main offenders. I hope this extensive SFA investigation exposes them as being the real problem and the footie authorities don't 'sook up' to these c#### in the way that the Glesca wags do it although the Sun tabloid unusually slagged them off for their 'nobody likes us' whining!! I wonder why? IMO George Square 2014 was very unwise by a small number of their poisonous fans but it's not the only reason.
