This seems to have gone under that radar (unless I've missed something up here in the wilds of Derbyshire) but the Ladies of Sporting Club Albion have just won the The FA Women's Premier League - Northern Division (in addition to the County Cup). They also got to the quarter finals of the Women's FA Cup where they lost 2-0 to Manchester City who currently sit top of the Women's Super League First Division
From what I understand of the Woman's set up they now will have to play a match against the winners of the Southern Premier League (Brighton) with the winner of that match being promoted to the second division of the Women's Super League.
Don't know about you but I think that's worth celebrating. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be getting much coverage and as most of the relevant websites are woefully out of date it's difficult to find any current information out or when the play off match is.
Well done ladies! They score a load more goals than the men as well, maybe worth popping over to Halesowen to watch them play next season.
