Well it's already 'sink or swim' for a Hibs side that is actually playing fairly well but 'certain players' persist in 'letting the side down' and the fans!! We are undeservedly a goal down and IMO this is a test of Stubbs' mettle as a manager. I honestly don't think we will qualify for promo to the Premiership anyway but the same applies to Saturday's opponents and Falkirk for that matter - no chance and not good enough!! However, I wanna see Hibs overhaul this one goal deficit and at least do themselves some sort of justice v a Raith side that is fairly average if that! The ball is well and truly in Hibs court and lets see if they have the gall to fizzle out of our Championship campaign like a damp squib! I've been here before and seen it all before! Hence the subdued state of sitting back and watching another Hibs team possibly 'shooting itself in the foot' against crap opponents!

Not sure that was officially a "pumping" but it was good enough to see you through to the next round. It is crazy that you may have to play 6 games to go up, and in quick succession as well. The playoff set up is all wrong in Scotland!!

Sadly it's all weighted in favour of the prem side, but it's Scotland wer'e talking about here couldn't organize the preverbial piss up.

When the playoffs were set up in England it involved one team from the prem, hated it then as well. The playoffs should have nothing to do with the teams in the league above, they are about promotion not relegation. So many things that just don't work in Scotland seem to stem from the fact the top division has only 12 teams, it needs extending.

Thats boring!! It should be 2 up, 2 down with the bottom 2 automatically relegated and the 2nd-5th in a standard semi-final then final playoff to join the Champions in promotion! Its just too convoluted as it is now.

Well, that was a much happier journey home.
First half hour we blew them away, rovers players seemed more interested in arguing with each other than defending resolutely.Second we sat deeper after dylan went off and bartley came on but barring one good chance in the first half they rarely threatened.
Jason is like playing with a man down at the moment.

It was all about Premiership self-interest when the play-off system was set up SCO and the emerging final quali team will generally be knackered by the time they play the 2nd bottom Premiership side. Rangers were a good example of that disadvantage at the end of last season. They were in Hibs current position in having to play 6 x play-off matches and were eventually well stuffed by Motherwell FC. Later on, well after the event, their manager, Stuart McCall, confirmed that his players were run down by the number of competitive matches in a faily short period and no wonder!
Also agreed the Scottish Premiership should be extended/restructured. That's part of the prob and there are too many repetitive fixtures that become extremely boring!!! Been highlighted often enough in fans' surveys. Any club from the Championship that had something significant to offer the top league, in terms of size and standard of football, should've been moved into a restructured format and be done with it in order to enhance the quality of the revamped league as far as can be achieved. A league restructuring exercise may still happen at the official end of the season. At the moment nobody is saying anything because of ongoing play-off matches etc but that possibility is still there!

Jason is like playing with a man down at the mmmoment. What a difference Dylan provides to this Hibs side eh! Second half, I was immediately concerned when he was injured in a block tackle but luckily he was moving OK even though he was subbed - looks like a minor tweak! I pray we don't lose him to injury again during this demanding period. Re Cummings, I'dve taken him off after 25 mins as it was very clear that he was gonna have a bad day on the pitch again and he did. Stubbs deciding to hold on to Cummings, until well after the hour mark, was beyond me again!!! I'm guessing the manager is giving Jason every chance and trying to 'keep him onside' but that was one risky gamble in a match that Hibs should've finished off by the hour mark and by 3 or 4 goals! Lotsa Raith players were 'blowing out their erses' well before the end of this match!
