For me, I'd like to see Price move on, the kids are about equal and have time to improve.

Sougou, underwhelming. Championship level player but bottom to mid level team. release if possible.

Palmer, doesn't seem to be improving quickly enough, can he keep up with the club? This might be his last season coming up.

Melo, I still haven't seen enough of him. Clearly not up to it. Release.

Mcgugan, keep as squad player another season, not sure what's happening there?

Lavery, Time is up for him, I think we should take whatever we can get for him.

Helan, Our 2013 star signing no longer fits in to our squad, nor has he improved. Sell him on I reckon. Or does CC have a plan?


With regards to the loan players. Bennett can go back to Villa we should be looking at better defenders to sign

Pudil, could be a useful squad player, we can pick him up on a free at the end of this season.

Sasso, I think he's done enough to earn a squad place, but if those are limited then we should look for an improvement.

Lopez, also done enough to prove his worth as a squad player, but is he an improvement? I think we should let him go home and try to sign better.

Mcgeady, See ya later mate. I had high hopes.

Turner, back to Watford please.

SS the majority on that transfermarket list are there for a reason -only a handful under 30. I don't think that fits with our long term plan.

Agree with most of your list for the current squad but at this point because of his injuries Melo is an unknown and I would trust in what Carlos thinks.

I would dfinitely like to turn the loans of Lopez, Sasso and Pudil into contracts if we can.

I would also expect for CC/DC to raid the Portugeuse league again in the summer - I'm sure there's 2 lists locked ina safe somewhere depending on if we need PL consolidation or are really going for Auto's next year in time for the 150th.

True, there's a lot of 30 year old. Many of them still have a good season or two left in them. I'm not saying we should be scraping up freebies, especially now we have money.

However, some of the experience they can bring as squad players would be a benefit, not to mention still being an improvement on players like Helan & Sougou

Like you say though. I can see Carlos continuing with his Portuguese influence. I would like to see some good British players join though I'd hate to see us as another club that completely lost the balance.

i dont agree MS i think the above arnt good enough to push us on for automatic promotion and thats what we need to aim for next season if we are still here ! i mean i know we wont sign daniel sturridge or welbeck in this league ? but we still need much better players than the average monkeys that weve mentioned above !

I agree, Imre. I suppose we could say, for the moment let's stick with the idea that we're still planning on promotion from the SBC next season.

Should we make that step up to the PL then we can amend/update the thread with whoever we'd like to see join/depart us at that juncture?

I would have more of an idea of players we should get for the championship next season than I would for the PL..... Crazy that.

mine stays the same id just like to add on pudil and why bother with laverey we dont have the time now !


we need to sign mccormack as our main striker with fessi ! hooper has proved to us he only does it eevry other 3 games ?
