The 2015 Thread of Relentless Positivity (negative comments will be removed)
It'll never happen. it's too close to Glasgow and too easy for the undesirables that support both clubs to get to.

Mike Ashley meekly surrendering his action against the SFA today is cause for positive celebration (unlike the negative post above).

Ashley's lawyers sought to dismiss his claim for a judicial review over the fit and proper status of Dave King after the SFA disclosed to them that they hold an official Certificate of Good Standing issued to Dave King from SARS. Many, many haters are "takin' 'e dorts" badly at the news. Laugh

SFA lawyers now, quite rightly IMO, going after Ashley for full costs. Thumb up

And so, that ends Mike Ashley's legal vendetta against Rangers, SFA and King.

After his comments of a few weeks ago whee he basically said he had no longer any interest in football clubs apart from Newcastle, I can't think he'll be itching to take King to task for anything else. His efforts so far have brought nothing but expensive humiliation on him. He may be a greedy f*cker but I don't think he's hungry for more embarrassment.

Your lack of positive input in this thread of relentless positivity is noted. Laugh

Which he will have to sell if Newcastle are relegated.

His shares are worthless in cash and voting value.

It's been shown that the current regime carry a majority for all reasonable changes suggested to shareholders, and when they convert debt to equity his holding will be further diluted.

I think his little fued with Rangers and his fairly obvious involvement - criminal or not - with quite a few people now facing criminal charges merely added to the negative press surrounding him and his companies and contributed to the substantial drop in his perceived wealth.

He could do with some good news and hopefully he won't get it.

I've nothing against Newcastle as a club or city but I hope they drop and languish for years to come.

Thank You for those kind words, Fred.

I have seen Rangers play actually, in the friendly at Aston Villa, as I posted about on the old site, on AVF and on RangersMedia, on 13/10/2012, where I meant to say 'mantra', not 'motto' :

1976/1977 : 09/10/1976 : Aston Villa 2 a 0 Glasgow Rangers : Friendly! : 5 : 176 - Abandoned after 52 minutes, pitch invasion.

It was the 5th game I attended that Season, my 176th overall and was the first meeting between Aston Villa and Rangers for 97 years. What should have been a great day was ruined by the knuckledraggers that invaded the pitch. I was in the Witton Stand that day and all Fans there, from both teams, were outraged by the actions of those drunken idiots.
The upshot of this fiasco was a boost for Celtic's reputation in Birmingham. When the Dummies (Birmingham City) played Celtic with no problems from the Celtic Fans, Rangers' reputation sank even further by comparison.
As for Charles Green thinking Aston Villa 'are completely useless', well that could be determined by another Friendly, but at Ibrox !!!
'No One Likes Us, We Don't Care' - is the motto of Millwall. Rangers FC and Rangers Fans should Walk Away from this. Alienating other Clubs and their Fans does no good for Rangers FC whatsoever.
