2 bad misses from Saido, although the 2nd was 2 yds offside

Good performance throughout. What's all this passing business?

Decent performance, pity we didn't take our chances. Ref against us, linesman definitely on our side (thanks Andy!). Now to settle down to watch the Masters and remember the time I played at Augusta (just to annoy any golfers on here).

Good performance overall, shame about the result but it's hardly a surprise.

Beefy, I am with you, ref did not give a clear penalty, Saido missed at least one sitter, City with a soft penalty, we could / should have won at least 3 - 1. TP is at fault, sack him now.

Did not watch it but sounds like a decent performance, and beefy like you I jest about TP.

It's a funny game.

Last week we were terrible and got an away point. This week I thought we were good, played some decent football at times and came away with nothing.

As others have said, the Mangala challenge looked a nailed on pen.

Got no complaints after playing like that against a top team. The frustration is the inconsistency. We seem to be more capable of scoring away against the better sides...

To be fair I don't think many would complain saying pulis out if we actually performed like that more often. Our home games against Villa, Norwich, we struggled to get into their box. It's embarrassing. If we played like that frequently and actually showed some intent like last night then I'm sure opinions would differ.

I did say we'd struggle against teams around us and possibly get something from the top teams in these remaining fixtures. sadly it sounds like the performance merited something here but some iffy decisions may have tipped this in city's favour?

I also said TP would probably ease up on being as defensive now we've reached 40 pts this and the remaining 6 performances will reveal all.

I also knew we'd lose this one even though I deliberately ignored it till full time in the hope my studio superstition might be somehow re-created at work lol! I failed maybe I should be sacked with TP.... guffaw ;-D

In reality though this lot have been the one top team we can't seem to get anything from these days. We've overcome the likes of arsenal man u chelsea liverpool in recent seasons these are all teams that would happily demolish us 3-0 5-2 5-0 6-0 etc etc season after season teams we hadn't beaten away or home/away for 25/30 years but city have become the main antagonist so in reality I was just relieved they didn't beat us heavily.

If I remember right wasn't our last win against this lot a jammy 1-0 in 2005 that turned our season around that famous year (Ska'd would know better than me) Am I also correct in thinking TP held his hands up after a 3-0 humbling by city on opening day which probably led to his decision NOT to attempt to try going gung ho attack attack attack with albion this season. In fact here is the quote I just found on bbc sport...hmmm!

West Brom manager Tony Pulis said: "I told the players after the game I have to take responsibility for this one. I played Saido and Rickie and that left the midfield too open. It went against the principles I have always worked to and it has given me a rude awakening.

"I won't be doing that against the big teams. You have to make sure you fill the midfield and don't get outnumbered. I wanted to be positive but that has taught me a lesson."

Pulis cocked it up again by totally bottling it bringing on Gardner for Rondon which left us with no out ball,
Anichebe would of been the better option as I know he`s a waste of space when it comes to scoring goals but he can
at least hold the ball up. Also brainless bringing on a 16 year kid when he had McManaman on the bench who`s proved
he can create something out of nothing when chucked on the last few minutes.

Yep Pullis Cocked it up Sleeping Sleeping

Things worked better with the change and actually played the ball through midfield a lot more,

We created a lot of chances,

But I suppose It's TP's fault we couldn't put the ball in the net, Golden Balls Saido missed two one on ones, one from six yards,
Mclean missed by inches at the end, two efforts flashed across the face of goal and I suppose it was TP's fault the referee didn't give us a blatant penalty.

On another day with a bit more luck we could have won this let alone deserve a point
Yet people still criticise against a team that's on the verge of a European Cup Semi-Final ..........

Unbelievable Geoff Angry
