Man City vs WBA - Match Thread

"But can they do it on a wet Wednesday afternoon at Maine Road?"; Albion warm up at Man City, 1st March 1972

Forgive me if this match thread contains about as much excitement as the picture above. We're well into dead rubber territory now, with the season essentially over for both Albion and this weekend's opponents Man City. Nor is the Etihad a particularly happy hunting ground for the Baggies nowadays, so even the chance of an upset seems remote. Everyone suitably thrilled by now?

At the very least, I do hope we're prepared to show a bit more adventurous spirit than we did during last Saturday's almost-had-a-shot-on-target extravaganza. Any chance of it, boys? Any chance of it at all?

As per usual, an entertaining post - and I agree expect for the place money the season hasn't much to offer. Though being safe this early makes a change. Now to the transfers to liven us up.

If Man City play as well as they did against Bournemouth last week - then its 3-1 to them - if not a 1-0 to us.

This will be a TP attacking extravaganza; "up to 40 points boys....WTF - let's go for it".
Starting with Gamboa and Poco,  Sess and MacManaman (straight from the Tom Dailey School of Diving);  Rondon and the reborn non  Sulky Boy up front alongside Fozzie (yup - no keeper needed in THIS line up) - we amaze all pundits on MOTD with a 10 goal blitz. Gary Linekar  promises to do the show in TP's underwear  next week,  and even Rainbow is happy Big Grin  Cool

As they say drewks, every rainbow has a silver lining.
Lets hope TP does go for it, I prefer this much more than say last week.

Only ray of sunshine for me this weekend ......... villa will finally leave the building. Only stay of execution for the seals is them winning and Norwich losing or drawing or villa drawing and Norwich losing.

sorry lads but we can write this one off Our days of going toe to toe with this lot are well and truly over add to that I'm on a work shift this weekend so not at the studio on saturday add to that were on telly and this is a no brainer. The only glimmer of hope is lawro has for once written us off also so thats got to be worth a bet on us winning lol! But seriously i'd take a turgid no shots on target 0-0 right now but I've got a sneaky suspicion that now we have reached the magic 40 that our tony is gonna go gung ho and let the lads have a crack and that will play right into their hands and god help us if they score early 0-3 by arf time ;-(
Oh and yes for goodness sake dont put rainbow in the studio with me I'd have to listen to him slating pulis and for revenge he'd have to listen to my attempts at singing ;-) lol
