I don't get it!
I like Pulis - he's a decent bloke, who doesn't seek to blame everyone else when we lose.
In the few games he's let them off their leash the players have shown they're quite good enough to get mid-table. I really hope he allows them to play till the end of the season, instead of worrying that 35 pts might not be enough. He might be surprised to see us finish halfway,......and that there's more than one way for little Clubs like us to stay in the Prem. You watch how he'll win the fans back, and give the players their confidence back. We need to entice quality players to come to the Club this summer, which they won't do if we keep playing rigid safety-first hoofball.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Strange, isn't it - quite a few (me included) were pleased with the appointment of TP. Last year he kept us up when IMO we WOULD have been relegated. This year the same folk were prepared to give TP time, then more time.
Patience began to year thin, then became non existent (for me) when the starting line ups and then the atrocious 'total conceding of possession' in a few games - particularly against Villa - made it obvious that our soul as a club had gone. TP was obviously to blame, and it was obvious that he should go, if not now then at the end of the season.
However the last few teams he has picked have suddenly begun to play with skill, speed and no little passion. Do we have "OUR ALBION " back?
Can the leopard change his spots?
I'm sure that there will be several who will always be suspicious of TP, and will never be happy - almost irrespective of results - with him in charge. That's their perrogative, of course.
My opinion is that, as long as we show the same desire and skill as we have in the last few games (and also the ones in that short spell before the Villa debacle), when we've actually tried to push up and attack, I'd be very happy to have him stay.
And actually, I like the bloke!
(This appointment of a Technical Director to oversee transfers is crucial too though.)

I have been a TP lover from day 1. I could not believe our luck when we got him and was overjoyed when he kept us up last season.
As the season has progressed I have found it harder and harder to stay positive and finally cracked after the Villa and Reading matches.
I took a very big step and wrote to TP directly at West Brom and was assured it would be passed to him. I begged for a little positive play and at least a little more openness about the tactics, reasoning and strategy behind such dire performances.
I doubt he read my mail. I assume he was getting a lot of negative emails and so I bannered mine with "Positive Contribution please read".
However, I am now taking full and total credit for the change in playing style for the last few games

Ouch, I have massive massive splinters from sitting on the fence ......... I was pleased with TP's appointment as I knew he would plug the holes and stop the good ship Albion from sinking, he did and with a plum, 44 points 14th place, after a wretched first half season. I thought transfer window new season, kick on, play like palace, did not happen. Things got worse, prepared to give him time, but balance was shifting, Saido incident unsettled the team, things got worse, then villa then Reading, balance toppled onto TP to go. Blow me we wipe the floor with palace (first half) an error allowed them in but we held on then a good fighting draw at the foxes, balance tipped slightly to the TP stay corner. All this shifting to either side of the fence is playing havoc with me piles .....
As an extra .... the Pulis effect on Palace is wearing off, dropping like a stone, do they wish they had TP still.
Baggies out there be careful what you wish for ...... oh and does anybody have a pair of tweezers.

I think Pulis is perfectly capable of putting out a attacking team, the same as he (mostly) puts out a defensive team, this he had shown on a number of occassions, baring injuries, so why should we want to change to someone who only knows attacking football and then leaks goals.
As long as our win/draw percentage is above 65% which it is at the moment, i'll remain happy with a little moan every now and again.

Well I think after his statements today/yesterday about wanting to do another 4-5 years and build this club up resolves this little debate.
So long as he takes the performances and attitude of the last few weeks forward and not the previous month then I for one am very happy to see him stay. He has passion and football in his DNA and so supported with funds and a decent scouting system he could end up being spoken about in the same way Sir Gary Megson us.
Bring it on!

Agree stairs.
imo we could do an awful lot worse......however, it'd be nice to see TP develop too and play a generally more attacking, pressing game. Maybe, tho, this is what he wants to be able to do with another transfer period behind him?
Can't take 1 more game of this 'conceding-all-possession' rubbish

The bloke has to go as a few losses and bad performances at the start of next season then the boo boys will be out in force
and its something I cant be doing with. Pearson is the bloke we want and I`d be doing everything possible to get him here before
Villa snap him up.
