However I think the results this week are more to do with Cummings and oxleys form collapsing completely.

Hanlon also looks like he's poss out for the season! I hope not as we've had enough injuries to cope with.  Definitely one of our best defenders this season and has had some top performances v Premiership teams. Thankfully Stubbs has cover from Fontaine or Gunnarson but IMO this is another setback that we could do without!

If Stokes was a decent player he would be in the Celtic team every week, the fact he isn`t speaks volumes on his abilities there. It`s worth noting that in a 10 year career he`s been loaned out on 4 occasions. to Falkirk,Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and now us which may mean he hasn`t fitted in anywhere he`s been.
We need to bin him now so that he can`t disrupt the team any more.

How can you bin him? You've surely signed him until the end of the season. Wouldnt surprise me if the contract means he has to be played - which was the point of him signing, to get game time prior to Euros.

The point of him signing was to give his lawyers the "don't wish to disrupt his new employers" excuse when his court case was to be adjourned and the new trial date was to be discussed.

Sure enough, when they asked his lawyer, he said they'd prefer a later date for exactly that reason. November was agreed on the back of it.

I'm firmly of the opinion he's just marking time until he finally does get sent down. He couldn't give a f*ck about football as long as his wage gets paid.

Isn't it funny how some people can't hold a single train of thought:

Alan Stubbs says he's hopeful Anthony Stokes will be in his team against Falkirk on Sunday

I wonder if Sparky had a 'good word in Stokes' ear' re the possibility of coming to his favourite Embro football club? It wouldn't surprise me if that was indeed the case!  I've already bought my Falkirk tickets in anticipation! Smile

Hibs finally confirm Stokes' signing! An imminent 'hat trick' v The Buddies or is it too early for such wishful thinking?

Ireland would need to have a serious level of injuries for stokes to get involved at the euros.

Aye, but if he is to be in any kind of contention he needs to be playing week in week out.  I think being picked is part of the agreement.  Form and teamsheets will tell.

He has no chance of being in contention. There's at least 6 players in front of him and he hasn't played for Ireland for 2 year. I doubt they would even consider it given the level he's playing at.

Stokes has spread started on the bench twice,so I doubt very much that he has to be picked as part of the agreement.

If he's on the bench someone else isn't.
