Anyone who even considers keeping Pulis as our Head Coach next season has to be stark staring raving bonkers !!!!
How anyone can defend him is beyond me after that display against a Championship team sitting in the lower half of that division. They must only watch the edited two minute highlights on Match of the Day.

Anyone who says Pulis hasn't got nothing to work with are talking out their backsides as when he did eventually put Pritchard
on for the last 10 mins he done more than donky McClean did in almost the entire game. The sooner people realise Pulis is a

I am also happy to attribute our survival last season to his skills.

But I am now at the end of my tether with the lack of positiveness in our play. I am happy if he stays and makes a change to play but equally will be happy for a change of manager.

Pretty much in agreement with this.

When Irvine was sacked I was behind Pulis' appointment and to his credit, he transformed us as a team who could barely win at home (under the previous 3 regimes) to a team that gave everyone a decent game at our place and made us tough to beat on our travels.

This season however, despite spending a lot of money, we seem to have gone backwards. Jonny Evans aside, the signings have been either poor or not the right fit for our style.

I'd like to see Pulis stay until the end of the season (I think he will keep us up) but then be moved on.

Whoever comes in will have a tough task though with our squad of old timers.

This thing about us having loads of old timers is a myth as I`d only place McAuley,Olsson, and Lambert into that category,
The likes of Morrison,Brunt,Sessegnon, are all in their early thirties so still have plenty left in the tank.
Iam convinced that with the squad we have any other half decent manager would keep us strong at the back and
have us playing a more expansive game, this in my opinion is one of the best Premier League squads we`ve ever had but
its just a pity we have Pulis(the cock womble) in charge who doesn't know how to utilise it.

Its almost the end of the season and Pulis still hasn't tried our two most ever expensive centre backs together as a partnership.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I actually feel sorry for Chester. He gets so much stick yet he's shoved out of position. It's not his fault he cost 8Mill and quite frankly at 26 years old playing at centre half he probably could be worth 8Mill eventually. He's a natural centre back, good on the ball, he wasn't at United as a youngster for nothing. He was Hulls player of the year in the Prem, they rated him so highly, so he's no mug. It's like asking Olsson to play LB or even RB, he's shite enough at centre half but imagine him actually playing full back and making runs forward and crossing the ball? It wouldn't happen. Chester played centre half in the cup replay the other week and it was by far his best game in an Albion shirt. Evans and Chester as a centre back partnership is not one to be sniffed at. It should be given a go.

As well as those mentioned, there's also Fletcher who is an old 32 if you ask me.

However, the big problem is that the younger squad players aren't a patch on the older guys. McAuley especially is almost impossible to replace and I think most fans underestimate how important he is at making us hard to beat at set pieces. I saw when Irvine dropped him at the start of last season and when he's been injured this season (Yesterday prime example) that we didn't look capable of defending anything thrown into the box. Gareth not only handles his man, whoever that may be, but attacks the balls in other areas.

I don't think that partnership would be dominant enough in the air. I'm a believer that you need one centre back who wins everything in the air (McAuley type) alongside someone good on the deck (Evans). IMO Chester is more in the Evans mould. Even with these 2 and Olsson on the pitch yesterday, we little quality in the air in either box.

Obviously the blame has to go with Pulis for buying Chester to play in the right back position rather than blaming the player himself though. Although, I do think an £8m player should be able to adapt better than he has.
