Joe Mattock keeps Albion in the cup (temporarily) at the Madejski, February 2010

The last time we played Reading away, I opened my match thread with the observation that Albion have never won at the Madejski Stadium, and have been without a win in any competition in Reading since a victory at Elm Park in 1995. Thanks to one of the most dismal and infamous capitulations in our recent history - and where Albion are concerned, that's saying something - I will also now be opening this match thread with the observation that Albion have never won at the Madejski Stadium, and have been without a win in any competition in Reading since a victory at Elm Park in 1995.

While a 2-0 lead with ten minutes to go was obviously too difficult for us to handle, maybe a 1-0 lead with eighty to go is more our style? Last week's fighting performance at Everton will hopefully have given the team a big lift, and some of the key names are returning to fitness at the right time. Reaching the quarter-finals for the second consecutive year would be a decent achievement if we can manage it, and this time there's not even any danger of being humiliated by the Villa (after all, we got that out of the way nice and early this year).

Get down there, give it a go, and see what happens. Come on Albion. Eleventh time lucky.

Anything will be an improvement on our previous visit to the Madejski which I was unfortunate enough to be there for. Easily the angriest I've been at an Albion performance in recent memory.

We should have enough to beat Reading with players coming back from injury and the whole squad has now had a decent break since the Everton game.

I'm going for a 2-1 to the Albion. COYB!

Hope I am wrong but think we will lose 2-1.
We are riding our luck in the FA cup and we simply cannot keep playing so badly and getting away with it.

Reading have knocked us out of a cup 3 times in the last 10 years, so no great faith for tomorrow, just a lot of hope.

I reckons Pulis will go 4-2-4 with Sicknote, Sulko, De Do Ron and Sess playin up front, Mozza n Pilchard in t'middle n Daws, GMac, Evans n Brunty at t'back n Elsie Golightly who duz the Bovril in the Brummie, between the sticks.

Pulis In I say !

Pulis in what BM? You didn't say but knowing you it should be easy enough to speculate Whistle

Oh by the way, Elsie isn't available. She's done her hamstring doing backflips over the tea urn. Laugh
