Getting Lees back will be a great boost for the rest of the season - just hope that they let him fully recover and today was just about getting in some match practice and fitness.

I've seen that story before and I'm not convinced it's true but if we assume it is I think 5m for a player that only scored 5 league goals last season and only 25 in 100 games over three years at Leicester is a lot of money. I can understand it being turned down by DC. At the end of the day though no one would have predicted the sort of form Vardy has produced this season, nor Leicester as a team, and hindsight is a wonderful thing!!! But it does make a good story!!!

Bloody well hope so even half fit hes miles better than anyone except Hutch that is !! and this will also free hutch up to go and help lee and bannan out freeing nuhui up to sit on the bench !!

Whilst that strengthens us up man for man, our results have been better when we have played a striker ahead of FF & Hooper, particularly when Nuhiu starts. So while on paper that seems like an improvement, we are currently a better team when Nuhiu starts and we have three from Lee, wallace, Hutch & Bannan in midfield. McGeady might give us an extra dimension & it will be interesting to see how CC uses him. Initially it will be as a late sub, probably replacing Wallace as on Tuesday but he could play as an out & out winger, in a front three of a 433 (Villa 1981) or just behind a striker as cover for Hooper or FF.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Mcgeady can play left wing or right wing. He offers great options to be honest, we can even play Mcgeady & Wallace together if we need to.

Provided we don't end up playing 442 with two wingers. Those are the games where we have been shocking (MK, Charlton etc.). We are good when we play generally narrow & use the full backs for width. We should be playing 352 really with Hutch in the three.

Wholeheartedly concur with that!! If we could utilise them both without a traditional 442 I think we could tear the opposition a new one. Though I'm not sure what the best way to re-shuffle it.
Hutch is outstanding this season, his natural nose for the game lets him play almost anywhere at the back. I've always liked the thought of playing a 3-5-2. Even last year when Gray was smashing square pegs in round holes we had players suited to it I think? Hooper----Nuhiu/Joao/ Forestieri Mcgeady-Lee-Bannan-Wallace Pudil------Hutch-----Hunt/Palmer Westwood 3-4-1-2 or 5-3-2 FF in the hole. Looks ok on paper, might be shite if we tried it ![]()

With injured players now coming back CC is going to have some very interesting decisions to make. We are at the stage where we have about 14 or so first team players who are fighting for the 10 outfield positions. Nice situation to be in but CC will have to use his management skills to keep them all happy.
