Wigan have accepted a bid from Scunny and Sheffield United both in the region of £400k so sounds like a bidding war will commence.

Sheff Utd have said they are not interested in Morsy and Brampton Rovers have said no thanks to Ebanks Blake plus the £100k sweetener we offered them.

Where would Scunny get the Morsy money?

Barnsley have shed-loads of money since the Stones transfer (or was it a benefit concert?) They could buy Morsy and pay Ebanks-Blake's wages.

I still want to sign Reda Johnson and Reuben Reid.

What's wrong with Dennis, he never gets more than two minutes? Last night was an ideal opportunity to get him on the field in front of Rochdale's throbbing crowd wasn't it?

Dennis is a work in progress. Came on for 10 mins or so Sat. Showed some nice touches. Not as quick as I expected but can see a future Lge1 player in there.

What i've seen of them both I would have Dennis in front to Simons.
If Morsy does to Scunny I will lose the will to live

He can't go to Scunny ..... Scunny and Wigan on your CV, next stop has to be Rotherham then he'll have a full hand on the tiller of social deprivation. Maybe he's writing a book, Down and Out in the EFL ...... Maybe Stoke scarred him for life. Abused in Vale Park, can you imagine anything worse?

Dennis can't afford to be a work in progress can he, at his age? He's either got to have made a Lee-Gregory leap by mid Septemberish, or he's just another non-league goalscorer around Buxton, Nantwich, Trafford Town and United of Manchester ...... and that's it IMO.

Simons has age on his side Pooch ....... Dennis has only his ability, everything else is against him. If we cotton-wool him as we did to Chapman, then we do ourselves and the player, no favours. Get him on the pitch, pushed up with Evans where he can show his goal potential. If that means he is in front of Simons or whoever in the pecking order, fine. If Ched got injured against Swindon, we'd have to pick Dennis the following week ......... so pick him against Swindon that's how he'll adjust to the pace of the EFL. It won't happen by a process of osmosis via bottom and bench. And training isn't a match situation.
