Looking at our defence at the moment selling lees would be suicide !! yes well get Hooper and possibly Turner in the deal but hes obviously made of plastic which makes him useless in defence !! maybe this exsplains why hooper signing on is taking more time that is needed !!

My understanding is that they want him off the wage bill, so rather than the deal collapse because we were only prepared to pay him 15k a week, we agreed with Bolton to waive the transfer fee and use this money to give him the extra 5k a week that he wanted.

Not sure why its more important to get him off the wage bill than for us to pay them 750k, unless the deal would definitely be off if this compromise wasn't met.

That's a bit (lot) of a surprise but CC seems to know what he's doing (?)

What I do sense here is that the current squad spirit is fantastic and even FF and Wallace and Bannan seem to rush to Dave after scoring.

I'm sure these long term deals will have playoff and promotion bonuses attached as well as potential increases for PL status.
There's nothing lke a motivated workforce and it does seem like DC and CC are going for it this year even though next year may be more realistic.

While I had doubts about Hooper earlier hes seems to have come good now he is match fit and had time to adapt to the team strenghts and tactics. Just hope we extend his loan or sign him rather than Derby or someone wekaneing the competition.

I will be back over for the Brentford game next month and really looking forward to it !!!

I don't think we need anymore defenders, we just need to get Lees, Turner and Hutchinson fit, add them to Loovens and Sasso then we are good at CH. We are set at FB as well but would like to see Pudil signed permanently.

Getting Hunt, Pudil, Turner and Hooper signed will also allow us to go back to the loan market again if we need to.
