Had some spare time late at night so figured id throw up a quick Bolton thread
v
Huddersfield come into this game on the back of 2 very good performances the first a convincing 3-1 win against Preston the second a 1-1 draw away at QPR. a good point for most town fans but the performance warranted all 3.
Wagners squad rotation seems to have paid dividends over the past 2 games and news out of the john smith stadium is that the whole squad is fit barring Dean Whitehead.
The players will be looking to impress, with the transfer window opening presently and with no secret that Wagner will be looking to reinforce his squad there are several players who will be looking over their shoulder.
Bolton by contrast seem to be a famous but very smelly creek without a paddle, bottom of the division, under a transfer embargo and seemingly bankrupt. Rumor is the macron stadium could see a fire sale in January to help balance the books. having said that they beat Blackburn on Tuesday and the fans hope this could be the start of an escape from the foot of the table. An animal is often the most dangerous when its wounded and Bolton should not be underestimated
the biggest controversy regarding the game is about the allocation of tickets to away fans, recent results and performances has see the initial allocation of 2200 sell out fast, for such a local game its seems low but news out of Bolton is that they cannot guarantee how many fans above that would come and a further ticket allocation would mean having to open the upper tier of the away stand, something that at this time may not be financially viable.
several town fans have said they are going over anyway in the hope that if enough of them show up it will force wanderers to open the upper tier
this is risky and could leave many a fan disappointed I also doubt that Greater Manchester police will welcome the extra work needed
if you are going over leave with plenty of time to spare, with the recent weather there isn't a guarantee that the roads will be in good nick or what traffic will be like
Team
I think Wagner will start with a team similar to the one he started against Preston with a 4-2-3-1 formation
Murphy
Chilwell Lynch Hudson Smith
Hogg Huws
Lolley Bunn Scannell
Wells
