Stubbs in for two players in January!

I'm wondering if Dagnall is additional to the two players who Stubbs has mentioned before the Jan transfer window opens. We can only wait n see if he's been tipped off re Dagnall's availability and taken the opportunity on a loan deal from Kerbala Blasters.

I have a feeling Dagnall was brought in to keep our eye off the interest being shown in Cummings or as a cover for him "if and when" we sell him. I`ve followed Hibs for over 50 years and can hardly remember us knocking back a half reasonable offer for one of our better players. The list is long but none of our fans need reminding so I think it`s safe to say Cummings will go shortly.
In past seasons this time of year has seen the start of a pretty dismal spell for the team and long suffering fans, hopefully the board block any move because the loss of Allan and then Cummings so soon after will knock the guts right out of the team.

I totally disagree re any insinuation that Cummings will leave in January and I base that view on the full debate at Hibs recent AGM between board members and shareholders re this very subject!! The outcome was a positive one where Hibs have no intention to sell and the players within our squad are keen to stay and the dressing room atmosphere is top class!! Thumb up

Re Dagnall, I think this signing could be another shrewd one by Stubbs. A Liverpool contact reckons this lad is certainly as good a striker as Rangers' Waghorn, if not better in this category of fooball league. I hope he is right but ultimately hope Dagnall can contribute significantly in Hibs winter campaign to win this Championship title! Thumb up

Someone with a bit of experience up front would make a big difference to the team, how many times did we lose possession on the edge of their area ?

0762,
Cast your mind back a few seasons ago when Rod told us that we were well off financially and didn`t need to sell players. He was talking shite then and the board are doing the same now, once they smell the cash their resolve collapses and they find an excuse to sell. If I`m wrong (which I hope I am) I will come back and apologise-if Cummings goes you do the same Tongue

The times have changed and you're referring to events a few seasons ago 1wattie! If Cummings leaves Hibs then it will be in the summer. Also there's nothing to apologise for. I'm basing my view on positive comments uttered by Dempster and others re this very subject. Show a bit of faith eh! There's no guarantee that Hibs will win the Championship but they are certainly gonna give it their best shot and I believe Stubbs and Dempster on that score!

0762,
I too have every faith in Stubbs and Dempster ( if they`re allowed to do their jobs) but still believe that others hold the upper hand when it comes to transfers. Time will tell but the vultures were hovering around Cummings today and his goal will keep them interested.

There was a story this week that we were looking at Cummings as a possible transfer target, no idea if it was just speculation though.  A figure of 500k was mentioned IIRC.
