Funny how Pig's memories tend to evade them...especially when we are 22 places above them and a league higher...back in ya little straw box with Elspeth ya go
We are MASSIVE again!!!

Our problem is a lack of goals.
We really only have May that can score & he is a constant threat on the shoulder of the last defender provided we can play the right ball to him, evidenced by the early chance at Cardiff. Maguire can score from free kicks & penalties. Nubui can score from penalties. After that, we don't offer much of a goal threat. Our CBs don't score. Our midfield rarely score - Coke (1), Semedo (0), Hutchinson (0), Lee (0), Maghoma (0), Drenthe (0) We don't seem to score from corners any more, We got the one at Boro (Nuhui's first) but that was more down to terrible defending than what we did. Why don't we take corners like the West Brom's second yesterday with the near post flick on taking out the keeper giving a simple nod in. We used to score loads like that in the Big Ron / Trevor Francis era.

We don't have anyone to take the set-pieces MS. Whoever takes them, they rarely seem to beat the first defender

Our corners are WANK! unless Mattock takes them, then we actually have a chance of getting a head to the ball.
Don't know how Maguire played Saturday, but I would drop him for Helan or Hope to give him a kick up the backside!
JUST SAYING LIKE!

My point is get in front of the first defender & flick it on. The defenders are all on their heels and our players are ready to race in & score.

My dear Mr. Varararadi,
Please don't take on so, you'll end up with terminal haemorrhoids if you keep reporting like that - mind you, you do use that particular area for most of your correspondence, don't you. Keep smiling, old chap, Yours aye, Chunders ![]()

Maguire has been awful for a while on the whole with set pieces so it was very refreshing to see Mags taking a more prominent role. Now we just need to get the other players in tune with what he can do with a set piece and see them attack the ball and spaces better!! And of course in Nuhiu's case, stay onside!!!!! |
