After another win on Tuesday, where the play was convincing even if the scoreline wasn't, Hibs head to Alloa on Saturday.
The home team have had only one win, on 5 September against Dumbarton, and scored only 7 goals to 33 against, with each of those statistics beingĀ the worst in the league. Hibs on the other hand are on a long unbeaten run and have a chance to stay within striking distanceĀ of Rangers, albeit having played a game more.
However we still have to do far more than just turn up to get the 3 points, so the usual application and skill are still required. I'd be disappointed to win by less than 3 goals, but any win will do. James Keatings is on form just now and Jason Cummings will have to put Tuesday's game behind him and get back to goalscoring form. After earning a few thousand air miles and keeping the Congolese bench warm for 180 minutes, Dominique Malonga will probably miss Saturday's game with fatigue.

Livingston were a big bunch of lads eh ? I suppose we could sit and cry about them booting our best players around like a certain other club eh but no lets move on.
Thought we looked a bit slack at times midweek and it might be time to give the likes of eckersley a run out.
Wee signs that the fans are starting to come back to easter road and getting enthusiastic about the team again. Long may it continue!

One of my criticisms re Tuesday's team performance v Livy was the fact that we missed a strong physical presence up front with Martin Boyle replacing Dom. I'd hope that Stubbs changes Cummings' partner for that very reason. Otherwise, I think our biggest problem will be the poor artificial playing surface but it's the same for both teams - just gotta get on with it and ensure we turn them over and hope Hibs do it impressively in front of a big away support with a conviction that is beginning to take shape as Hibs keep the positive momentum ticking over.

Another good win and with sevco losing points at Livi a great day for HFC.
Concentrate on each game as it comes along and keep it going....confidence is building and it will be nice to keep the momentum going.

Some run we are on the now,we have made up 11 points in recent weeks. It was tricky yesterday but with rangers dropping points it became a big win for us.
Not sure it will come down to the sevco games either, warbiola has one style of play and it is gradually being sussed out.Anyone who saw livi play us midweek knew it was not going to be a stroll for them.

If they take the chances they make they'll win games easy like yourselves they are however open to losing in the counter so st 1-0 they are vulnerable,I do reckon they'll bring in a couple in January and see the games between hibs and them title deciders

maybe fredster,i think they are one dimensional myself. everything gets switched from the wings via tavernier or wallace. I think we can vary it a lot more and we have the best midfield in the league.

Aye Jim but you don't play rangers every week if you did then I think you'd come out best however both teams are playing poor oppo every week and both are going to win virtually every week and that's why I see it coming down to those games
