Saddlers will always be my no.2, and I subconsciously change my 3rd/4th favourite constantly (between say Arsenal, Liverpool, Argyle, depending on the way they're playing at any time. For instance I quite liked Newcastle a few years back, and Ipswich back in the 70s.)
I've always been very proud that a lot of fans I've met over the years have put Albion in their 2 or 3 position. I've worked all around England, and we're genuinely quite well liked.
However, I can imagine that a lot of 'floaters' are starting to put Albion in about position no.90 (just above Chelsea and ManU), simply because of the brand of football we're playing these days. Can't blame them. I watch Albion on VipBox most Saturdays, and there's a mini-forum on there - it's embarrassing to read some of the comments made about us these days.
So what? These people don't put any funds into the Club - and never will - but I live in a holiday town now, and meet fans from all parts, so I used to feel very proud when they'd say they genuinely liked Albion and the way we play.
Who's your 2nd/3rd teams?

Not really second or third favourites, only Albion are my one true football love but like to keep an eye on Yeovil, born in Somerset to a non footballing father he was more railways as he worked for BR, showing my age, Telford, lived there before going off to London to work for the man, and Walsall, nice club and inoffensive.

In the last two years Cheltenham Town (The Robins).
Started to go regularly towards the end of last season and witnessed their desperate struggles to avoid relegation to the National League; all to no avail.
They released every single player bar one who couldn't find another Club and took the brave decision to stay professional rather than go part time. They signed a complete new squad during the close season and the lads have gradually gelled together.
They are presently second in the league having lost only two league matches so far.
They are excellent defensively (usually) but struggle to put chances away and hence most matches remain close and thus tense for us fans. I am amazed at how evenly matched most National League teams are and The Robins, who played a lot of hoofball last season are now, under the guidance of Gary Johnson, playing decent on the deck football.
One young player they released last season was a Portuguese right back called Jombati.
He's now playing for Wycombe Wanderers and scored a stunning goal for them in last weekend's FA Cup first round.
He played one-twos with a couple of team mates before letting fly from 20 yards. (Check it out).
One worry is that our 20 year old goalkeeper Dillon Phillips is only on loan from Charlton until January.
If he has to go back can we please loan one from the Baggies as hopefully Ben will be fit again by then.
It's great being able to park no more than 100 yards from the ground as I have severe walking problems over any real distance.
My last visit to the shrine was when Shane Long scored the winner in a 2-1 victory over Bolton.
The walk to and from the Station nearly creased me and the leg pains almost ruined the match for me.
It's amazing just how many teams in the National League have played in the past at a higher level and with only one automatic promotion place available it's going to be a bit of a bugger to get out.
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

The New Saints, as my local team, don't sound much, but qualified from the Welsh Premier League for European Football every year since 2000/2001: 8 times in the Champions League, 5 times UEFA Cup and 3 times for the UEFA Europa League . Not bad for a town of 16,000 people but does annoy a few in Wales as their ground is actually in England, well they send us Swansea and Cardiff. They are yet to get past the second qualifying round mind!
