SPFL2, (Championship) Sunday, 01/11/2015 : Hibernian v Rangers, KO 12:30 hours, (SKY).

Get the match thread up now {25/10/2015}.

With Hibernian in 2nd place and 8 points behind Rangers, this is an 11 pointer. With that sort of gap I cannot see Hibernian or any other team catching Rangers, even if we have a slump in form. However, I cannot see Rangers having a slump in form either.

As usual, I will post stream(s) in this thread, should any become available.

A 'six pointer' applies when there are 3 points between the two contesting teams, Paignton.
With this match the gap is 8 points, so a Rangers win extends it by 3 to 11 points; a win for Hibernian would reduce the gap by 3 to 5 points.
As usual, I fully expect Rangers to win.

11 minus 5 is still 6, Larry, so using the football analogy, it's still a 6-pointer.

Still, as far as I can make out, a win is only 3 points, and 3 points for Hibs is all I ask for. Thumb up
Cabbage is still good for you

I see this as a must win game for Hibs, a draw would be fine for Rangers. However a win would see us out of sight even at this early stage of the season.

I'd mostly agree with that, but Hibs have got an impressive record this season in their own right and I wouldn't write off the league as a contest just yet even if we win, although it would be a huge psychological boost for us and blow for them.

agreed,i think we must win this tae have a good chance o' overtaking rangers, but, I;ve nae idea what rangers strength in depth is so if they get a few injuries or suspensions who knows, although a rangers win would certainly make it mair difficult for us, where theres hope etc etc. I'm up for this one so I hope my ridiculously expensive trip is worth it

Always worth it to see your team play. Safe trip, enjoy the game but hopefully not too much. Wink

Sadly i think you are probably right. if you win i think we are looking at the play-offs. A draw i think still keeps things in the mix as we still have another 2 games to play,a hibs win and i think we have a genuine chance of winning the title.
