Match Thread - Rotherham Utd v The Owls (SBC)
The gap widens now.. Makes you think about points lost at Bolton QPR etc.

We're looking good for the most part. Just need to stop a few bad habbits

Well 4 of the teams above us won today, to be expected I suppose. We had three tough games this week, two against relegated prem teams and one local derby away from home and while we may have deserved a bit more, especially against QPR, we came away unbeaten and 5 points better off!!! For me that is real progress for us as a team and while we are still 4 points off the playoffs we are definitely in the group of teams with at least one eye on them!!!

Not to concerned about teams getting close to us. More concerned with us staying as close to the top team as we can. Brighton 9 ahead of us and than a gap of 4 to the rest and then a gap of 4 to us. We do need to stay with this pack that's forming.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you need a team....

Spot on, but it is nice to be looking ahead of us rather than behind!!

We are unbeaten in 7 games and have put ourselves in a great position to push on.  Over the next 5 games we have 4 games we should be taking points from and a game against Brighton in the middle.  November could be a month that sees us really push on or a month where we consolidate a mid-table place only!!!

quite frankly you bore me to death !!!

Keepers are taught not to come for those crosses because one touch & they are dead if they leave their line. If everyone misses it then they are vulnerable to a goal like Rotherham scored.

In the second eventuality, there are other players that can prevent the goal whereas if the keeper leaves his line then the flick is always a goal if on target. CC has said that Loovens should have prevented the goal so it is clear where he places blame.

The biggest points are:

1) We need to give away less free kicks in these areas.

2) We need to make better use of these situations ourselves.

Loovens clearly at fault. Nothing to do with Westwood.

Zonal marking is ok if you have the players that are disciplined enough to stick to the plan. I prefer man to man at set pieces.
