I think fans are all too quick to scapegoat some players because it suits them. I've seen a few seriously dubious and out of order comments on social media about why Powell picks scanz and it disturbs me greatly. Obviously I hope lolley gets some game time as do most people but you don't need to vilify the player you want dropped. They're human beings. I don't think scanz had a worser game than Bunn IMO. Paterson hasn't got a sniff since he's got here but where's the clamour for him to play?

Like a lot of folk, when I listened to the commentary of Vaughan getting his marching orders, the air turned a freakin shade of blue in our house. Didn't surprise me one jot I tell ya. Never used quite so many "C's' in one sentence ever before. But...............having seen the highlights of the situation, I despair. What on earth has become of our game! Yes, he's a knob for doin it, but for the love of God. It was no more than a playful bop on the forehead. And even though the TV footage that I saw was limiting, it was clear that the Ipswich lad was about to go over clutching his face. Pissed off with the fabrication that comes naturally to these footballers. The Rugby World Cup has been a welcome refreshment to say the least. Would these guys go down 'cause the ball had lightly bounced off their noggin. No they bloody wouldn't dream of it. Yes he was stupid to think that the laughable rules we have in this sport would use the slightest hint of common sense. Not sure who's the thickest. The players, or the F'in officials. Back to bed.........!

i think the problem a lot of town fans have with Scanz is his final ball has always been woeful and it hasnt ever looked like its going to improve its especially frustratinf when we have players in the squad who have shown they have a final ball and they dont get into the squad.

I think his assist rate has been a lot better than last season (will happily be shouted down if someone provides the stats to the contrary) but I heard one fan say 'xxxx off vaughan and don't come back'. Christ let's all calm down a bit. That red card makes a mockery of the game. JASOG we might differ in age greatly but we're on a depressingly similar wavelength.

Trouble with Scanz is his team mates. No good complaining about his final pass when there is nobody making space for themselves to receive such a pass. Jordan Rhodes was the master of this skill, making space for himself, being in the right place at the right time. Our current strikers need to learn this.
