Preston would probably be the best bet for him. If Preston do buy him from Cardiff for 850k then we will get a percentage because of a sell on clause.

Was it £850k we sold him for? I heard it was £750k. Oh well, that makes it an even better bit of business for us.

I agree that Preston would be pretty much a perfect move for him - provided, of course, that he gets the time on the pitch that he hasn`t had at Cardiff. If he does, and if he fits into their style of play - which I assume the PNE management think he would, otherwise they wouldn`t be interested in signing him - then it`s really down to him. I wish him the best of luck.

I`m not sure it would be such good luck for CFC, though. It depends on the wording of the contract between Cardiff and us, but add-ons are usually based on appearances, goals scored - well there won`t be any add-ons there, will there - and, as I understand it anyway, a share of the PROFIT on a future move, not the full sell-on price. I may be wrong, and as I say it depends on the wording of the contract, but if he`s sold on for the same price that Cardiff paid for him, unfortunately we may well get bugger all.

Some you win, some you lose, as the saying goes.

Rumor was £850k plus add ons. Still not a bad deal even if nothing more comes our way but I presume any sale by Cardiff will not mean we just lose any add on fees. There will be some kind of extra pay off I am sure but we will never know.
Would not have thought Doyle suited Prestons style as they were very strong up front physically - Doyle certainly isn't.

No themaclad, its a way of saying you were very strong up front. Nothing wrong with that, its one thing we have lacked for the last couple of years, forwards who muscle their way through and know where the net is.

Jack Lester, Craig Davies, Steve Fletcher were players who could muscle their way through a back four and find the net. Ebank-Blakes looks like that type of player as well. When Doyle joined us and we were in L2 he didn't get much time on the pitch due to Marc Richards who at the time was rumoured to be the highest paid player at Chesterfield.

How will he get a game at Deepdale?

Beckford injured needs operation likely to be out for two months hence the need for a forward

900,000 bid turned down loan deal likely

Cardiff will want to try and make a profit instead of selling him for the same price they bought him for.
