I joined the Rangers Membership scheme (as a 'Founder Member') last year.
A week ago I checked the website to renew it but could find no information, so I EMailed the Club (via the website) regarding renewal.

Today I had a reply from Rangers saying 'Unfortunately this service has been discontinued'.

As folks here would appreciate I visit the Rangers website virtually daily, but I have never seen anything about the Membership scheme being discontinued.

Sod's Law it was announced on one of the rare days I did not visit the website !

I would imagine it garnered nothing more than a footnote Larry. Still an email would have been the done thing to inform members of this.

It probably was a footnote, if anything Coops.

A poor show from Rangers on this, on two counts :

1} Not giving formal notice of the discontinuation ... I wonder how many EMails Rangers have had like mine ?
2} Cutting off a revenue stream for the Club from folks like me who do not attend matches, but by being a Member meant I did contribute to the Club.

Yep, as a fellow Founding Member it's unfortunate, but like a lot of things still at Rangers the scheme has the tainted stench of previous regimes on it. The new regime won't entertain any of it.

Still, as long as Dave King doesn't want as much of our money as possible then things can't be going too badly behind the scenes.

It would make sense to resurrect a new scheme surely?
