Jimmy Ryan, Drew Talbot, and Armand Gnanduillet have all been released. Sound like Rai Simons the player we signed from Ilkeston his pre-contract sounds like its been cancelled judging from his tweet.

‏@RaiSimons13_ My summer is over before it even started.

Could you provide some worse news? Drew to choose between Plymouth and Portsmouth? Gnanduillet, well all the signs were out he was going, but I'm sorry. Ryan had to go if he didn't want a new contract. But Simons gone before he started, that sounds a lot like chaos.

Shame we haven't got a manager to sign some of the players becoming available. First up we need a reserve goalie (after the debacle of Sunday). I was hoping Chapman would be Tommy's successor, but the first requirement from a keeper is to be there, like every week. It's hard luck on him, but talent isn't enough.

The Posh released Bobby Olejnik. I'd sign him now. A good keeper who would make Tommy fight for his place or more. If we'd got some money I'd buy Kane Ferdinand from the same source to replace Ryan. Up front I'd grab Yeovil reject Kieffer Moore. They signed him to play Championship football. 6ft 5ins at least, difficult to handle, scores some goals for a big man and has even played in defence. He's free and moving out of the south west would either rejuvenate his career or kill him ..... I think he's a bargain for someone with a bit of imagination, he can't be starry-eyed, he played Sunday League in Torbay before being spotted. I'm guessin' he'd be delighted to give us his all.

(Hope I'm wrong but I don't think Cookie will finish the season at Portsmouth. Even Stevie Cotterill couldn't survive there and he'd do a job on Mars.)

Drew has got interest from Barnsley and Oxford. The person in charge with players and players contracts is Chris Turner by the sound of things.

Well it has to be doesn't it Matt? Is Simons agent fall-out because Gnanduillet has been released?

We'll need a right back if someone comes in for Tendayi - a player who played every single game in the season? Manager's dream.

Of course one way for Dean Saunders to ensure his popularity would be to announce the immediate signing of Jamie Ward, released by Derby yesterday

Well Tendayi is being tracked by Leeds and want him for £500k. Rotherham are after Jamie Ward I heard.

Rumour that Ritchie Humphreys has signed a 1 year deal. No one is too sure about Drew, but Ryan and Armand were offered new contracts apparently but turned them down.

Paul Cook wants Gary Roberts at Portsmouth and there is talk that Jimmy Ryan will join him down at Portsmouth as well.

I also hear that Saunders wants to keep Roberts so should be an early sign of our intentions where he goes.

Yeah I read that. Paul Cook wants Roberts and is offering him a 3 year contract. I would be surprised if Roberts decides to go to Portsmouth because it will be a big move for him plus he has a young family as well.

Rotherham after Jamie Ward, well there's a surprise, who don't they want?

I wouldn't be too sure about Roberts turning down Portsmouth, a three-year deal can sound good as you head into your thirties.

Darikwa's durability alone ought to be worth a million, so long as we don't let Dancing sell him (we'd end up paying Leeds).

If Rotherham could they would buy every footballer going.

Rai Simons contract hasn't been cancelled.

Craig Davies has been released by Bolton but doubt he will come to Chesterfield as we wouldn't be able to afford his wages.

David Dunn is being targeted by Saunders for a player/coach role.
