Hibs v Falkirk - 18/04/15
#21
cheers Exeter.

Getting up this year is absolutely paramount for Hibs, i'd really hate to think what could happen if they stay down for another season. The squad could be decimated, do you think Stubbs would stay for another season in the Championship?

I just hope they get the mindset right for the play off games this time around, because it's not going to be easy. QoS play good football, Rangers are.....well just Rangers, and whoever finishes 2nd bottom of the top league will be playing for their lives

The biggest concern now for Hibs fans is that come the end of the season whether we are up or still in the Championship is that Petrie allows the squad to be dismantled for short term monetary gain and allows Stubbs to be poached by an English Club!....afterall they would have to pay us compensation for the length of time his contract still has to run!

I don't think Hibs or Rangers will get past the play-offs anyway and I base that view on the erratic way both teams have been playing all season. I hope Stubbs has Gray returning asap and all other injury concerns sorted before the play off matches begin. Then at least he can work with the strongest available line up. However, we need an element of 'bottle', and a bit of luck, that is sorely missing from this Hibs team. That's a common theme on much bigger Hibs forums than this undersubscribed one!

Agreed Fred. Feel though they would be best to hold the game in a smaller venue as it is not the same in a half empty ground....being a Hibs fan I shoukld know !

Easter Road would be ideal....they could pack it to the rafters and create a much better atmosphere for their fans.

John Hughes pointing to the heavens after the final whistle! lol! He should be pointing to the referee who has made this result possible - absolutely astounding! There has been a big issue about the poor standard of Scottish refereeing for long enough and I hope the press boys get their teeth into this latest controversy tomorrow! I'm not a Celtic fan but football lost today and cheating (added to the incompetent refereeing!) won this game - that hand ball by Meekings was straight out the cheat's charter and he got away with it and stopped a good second goal for Celtic! Good luck to Yogi and Russell Latapy, two hibees who will probably pick up the Scottish Cup with ICT but the real story is that Celtic were really hard done by this afternoon .
Anyway back to the bigger Bounce boards - a good post but it's too quiet on this undersubscribed forum. Like since1902 I'll visit it on the odd occasion when I'm in the mood but it won't be any time soon. Ta ta for now!

I don't see that Celtic can have that many complaints since they only made it that far courtesy of some appalling refereeing that just happened to go all in their favour in the first Scottish Cup game with Dundee United (not to mention the equally bad refereeing decisions that benefited them in the League Cup final). Of course that won't stop them complaining about it.

I'd rather have seen Hibs make the final to add some distraction to their league and playoff preparations, but that goes doubly so now since they'd have had a real chance to win against ICT.
