Also, James Morrison's been quoted in the Birmingham Mail that no one wants to go to Palace. In that case, James, remove yourself from selection and let somebody else take your place.
He clearly didn't mean what you're saying and he was our best player last game so let's please not give someone else his place.

You could question whether the chicken or the egg came first there (are they being left out because they're shite, or are they shite because they're being left out?) but if they aren't inclined to play their way into the first team, you have to ask why we should expect them to put any more effort into a Premier League game than our current starting XI.
Because they're professionals.
But I think they've been left out because they've been found wanting in training. I can't think of any other logical explanation.
Unfortunately, "being professional" ceased to be a valid reason for top-flight footballers to do anything a long time ago.

Some interesting comments from a Palace fan on .com regarding Pulis's infamous training regime; since his departure from Selhurst, it's emerged that he had players in every day for early morning yoga sessions and even scheduled optional sessions with a ballet tutor! Apparently this went down a storm with the Palace players, and part of their decline under Warnock was due to unhappiness about these sessions being scrapped.
Can anyone else picture Big Vic in a tutu? I managed it briefly and now wish I hadn't.

SalopBaggie
but there is still that naggy feeling underneath it all, that would our scouting system really select so many players who are not good enough?
I know that you will always make some naff purchases, but it is well known the number of players we brought in last summer and virtually all of them not good enough??? It does make you wonder!

It certainly does, I have to admit.

I am quoting Morrison verbatim. Have you not read the report in the Birmingham Mail? Maybe they've got it wrong? Either way, I'd be advising Jimmy to be careful with how he phrases his words.

Maybe I've misunderstood but I think he's saying that Palace are in good form and we're not, which is obviously true.

In fairness to Morrison I think he actually meant no team wanted to go to CP at the moment as they were on a good run.

Good run...... Bad run..... It don`t matter. The team bus is shot full of so many holes it would be a waste of time and petrol parking it. We`re ALL Doomed. DD

I really like and rate Morrison, but maybe he and his pals ought to pay more more attention to winning certain other games we've fluffed this season so we can go to places like Palace unafraid and not lacking confidence. The strikers especially can't afford to keep missing sitters.
