Terrier vs Canaries
Date Tues March 17th
Venue John Smiths Stadium

A tough game for the Terrier who only have 1 point from the last 4 games but go into the game with a little confidence after a better performance against Birmingham but a vast improvement will be needed to get anything against a Norwich team who are firmly in the playoff hunt.
there is hope over whether leading goalscorer Nahki Wells will be fit again to start against the canaries , the terriers have lacked firepower and options upfront since Wells injured his shoulder, there are also deep concerns over the fitness of Harry Bunn who left the game early against Birmingham in what appeared to be a recurrence of his hamstring injury.
Norwich by contrast have been flying lately Winning all 5 games in febuary and only losing 1 in march so far they have cemented themselves as genuine playoff contenders who are looking for points to increase their position and possibly make a push for an automatic place being only 3 points from top.the impressive form has partly been led by local huddersfield boy Cameron Jerome who 18 goals in all competitions makes him one of the divisions top scorers, a player once deemed not good enough for town at youth level ( he was in our youth system before joining Grimsby's) could very well comeback to haunt the terriers
Make no mistake with as tight as it is at the top of the table Norwich will not be coming to town to settle for a draw

If we manage to scrape 1 point from this game I'll be delighted, call me negative if you want but I've got us down as winning nothing from this.
Norwich are on a bit of a roll and 3 points here will keep them in the hunt for automatic promotion although it's highly unlikely they'll be in the top 2 come 10pm Tuesday night due to the other fixtures.
For me the big game on Tueday night is Wigan v Watford, IF Wigan win and we lose then we'll be looking rather nervously over our shoulder on Saturday and Dean may well be regretting his statement about us improving year on year

Bunn and Robinson definitely out tomorrow night, Powell also thinks it's too soon for Nahki Wells.

I can't see us getting owt from this game.
They have too much quality all through the team, and their confidence will be sky high just now.
Best I can hope for is a defeat by the odd goal and for Delia to sample one of our pies.

We know Norwich can be one of the most difficult sides in the division to play against on their day, but they can blow as cold as the rest of us too (losing at home to Wigan - who saw that coming on the end of a six game winning run?). It's just they've generally blown hot more than they've blown cold since the new gaffer moved in.

So here's hoping they come out tonight like a luke warm Town pie and we can get something from it. We'll have to keep all 11 on the pitch though and not get caught flat footed at the back. Won't be the end of the world if we get nowt tonight but it won't help us if we don't get any points out of the next two games.

Third bottom Wigan beat them 1-0 on their own patch recently, so why can't Town at least nick a point.

Norwich have visited Huddersfield 18 times on league action since 1960 and have only won 3 although 10 were drawn, so why should Town fear them?

I reckon Town will at least share the spoils and could even nick it 1-0.

Sounds like a great game so far.
I'm more hopeful now about at least getting a point.
And plenty of pie posts in this thread.
What's everyone's favourite pie???
