Tuned in late to this thread. Tea tray riders and rock chuckers seem to have been our best bet so far. Some of the snowmen and snowomen have been really unlucky in going for it and just landing short. Have to love a trier even if I'm not OK with their so called sport. Bobsleigh and whatever lying on your back on a tea tray is called to come. Luge? Or is it? apparently done and dusted before I noticed. Funny how that works when you aren't really involved. Are we getting as bad as The Yanks?

That stuff on a big long (or short) sheet of ice and some snowy hills appears to be as medal worthy as usual for us Brits. Give me the goals in hockey over the arty farty dance and whatever isn't ice dancing stuff. Apparently Ice Dancing and Figure Skating are different forms of falling over to music on ice. Go figure, or maybe just dance. Give me the downhills and the ski jumps over the moguls. Give me the snowboard cross over the big air. It might look pretty but if it's a matter of opinion. WRONG.

I think the sports where 'they/him/her' can 'twirl/jump/lift/throw' (whether on ice or snow) a bit better than 'they/him/her' stuff belongs in no global international competition like the Olympics to be honest. Opinion, no matter of how many judges, should not decide a medal.
Measure it with a stopwatch, tape measure or similar we can undertand please. The rest of you that measure on matter of opinion belong in a Theatre or a Circus Tent, not an Olympic Games. It's worse than Eurovison and I haven't watched that since Noah was hosing down his pair of giraffes.

What's with the secret service men in suits types that stand behind the players in the dug out type thing?

In the ice hockey, that is!

This playing curling malarkey keeps getting in the way of watching the curling malarkey. However GBR Women were squeezed out of the Top 4. They did all they could by winning their final 3 games but a poor start to the week put paid to their chances. Never mind, GBR Men did the needful and then squeezed past unbeaten Switzerland in the Semi-final by 8-5 in the final end. Canada then squeezed even harder against Norway, winning 5-4 in an extra end. The Final will be at 6pm tomorrow evening.

At roughly the same time, Zoe Atkins will be taking part in the Women's Halfpipe Final in 3 runs for the title. The first run is at 6.30pm and the event should finish at around 8pm.

Also tomorrow, the GBR 4-man bob will set off on their medal hunt at 9am in the first run and 11am in the second.

Can't add much to that, Snooty. Despite making a good first-half performance, GBR Men's form dipped in the final 3 ends, to leave Canada 9-6 winners. They were making good shots but were inches away from making the great shots required at this level. Still worthy of our congratulations in medalling.

Curling Medals Men
GOLD - Canada
SILVER - Great Britain
BRONZE - Switzerland

In the Women's Event, Switzerland play Sweden tomorrow morning at 10am in the Gold Medal Game. Canada have already won Bronze.

Team GB's 4-man bobsleighers start their 3rd run at 9am tomorrow with the final run starting at 11.12pm precisely. They are currently 7th.

And Zoe Atkin's chance to win another medal for GBR, (currently leading the rankings), has been re-arranged for tomorrow at 9.40am, after today's final was postponed because of heavy snow.

Yes, Snooty, there were a couple of instances of strange interpretations of successful points scoring for the Silver Medal. Perhaps we should give AI the marking job!

Still with 3 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze it has been a good Olympics for Team GB.

The 4-man bob team couldn't improve on their 7th position.

Curling Medals Women
GOLD - Sweden
SILVER - Switzerland
BRONZE - Canada

Next up is the Paralympics, starting on Wednesday 4th March to Monday 15th March. As usual, the Wheelchair Curling is 2 days ahead of the Opening Ceremony on Friday 6th March.

I saw that Kyle Waddell, GB's alternate, was playing in the Scottish Championships (?) in Dumfries as soon as they got back. I think his team lost to someone called Whyte.
