I would put Mozza in charge until end of season. Less disruption

I agree, I think the one thing we need now, more than anything, is stability and consistency. I believe Mozza provides that. As someone else mentioned, it may already be too late but I think that arrangement would give us the better chance of survival.

I wouldn’t be disappointed with Mozza until the end of the season, but like most I think it’s too late.

Personally, I'd be in favour of a "dinosaur" coming in on a short term deal.

I think this young squad need a father figure to come in and install some belief in them. Someone who can quickly get us organised defensively and can oversee dirty wins against superior opponents.

I'm not really sure about Mozza. Yes, he's a club man, but I would see it as yet another managerial punt. I thought our performance in his previous game in charge - Swansea in the cup - was poor. It also felt like his team selection was picked out a hat on that day. That said, we managed to secure a draw so that was something given our away record.

Of course, like every punt, Mozza could come good. But I'd prefer someone more experienced personally.

All that said, i think keeping us up will be a tough task for anyone now.

I suspect what will happen is that Mozza will be in charge on Saturday and his future will depend upon the result.

I don't have any faith in the club to have any long term plan. They're making decisions on the fly.

I worry about Mozza, as he's been so involved as first team coach and we know what the first team have been like.
But I doubt there's another possible option.
Dinosaurs? I've even seen Colin mentioned. Please, no.

Isn't Colin about 80 now? I wouldn't go quite that prehistoric Laugh

I was thinking someone more like a Sean Dyche. Someone who knows how to setup a team to be hard to beat, but also understands how and when to commit players forward.

Of course it would probably be a non-starter as he's still on "gardening leave" from Forest I assume.

I even wouldn't have minded having Tony Pulis back short term. Works best with poor quality personnel and we certainly fit that mould. Although I think he's been out of work too long, so probably doesn't have the hunger anymore.

Ramsey had to go, definitely.

For me, Mozza plus an old hand for the rest of the season.

It's not too late to pull out of the zone, not quite. Blush

Dyche would be great for me.

I’d give him a limited contract with a survival bonus to work towards with mutual options to extend if we survive.

He is more than able to make us a Championship powerhouse and steady the ship. Two years from now we can start to believe we are worthy of better managers with vision and flare.

But just now. Beggars can’t be choosers and he would be far better than many available and willing to come to us.

I doubt we will be all tha appealing to him though ?

I don't know how many noticed but Mozza was shouting the instructions for much of the Charlton game. TO be honest I think some one else is already earmarked and ready to come in or Mozza will get the rest of the season, can't see much point in rushing into another risky move.

If we’re complaining about them appointing young inexperienced managers, Morrison would be a daft choice (see how things went wrong for Moore and Solksjaer). He’s also seen off enough managers himself…

Dyche probably the best choice but he’ll wait for a premier league firefighting job. The list is pretty dire otherwise - fingers crossed the Rooney headline I saw was made up!
