Well despite losing a game to postponement that had 3 Bonus Balls on it, this week sees a total score of 114 points which represents the 4th highest this season!! Six games saw double digit returns, with the Southampton win over Leicester scoring the most with 21 points. The lowest scoring match was Brum’s draw with L**ds.

Seven players ended in double figures, led by the in-form BBB with 20 points, he was the only player to get a spot on Gamball and he added a CR on the Bonus as well as another CS. Second place is shared by AAA and Zinman each with 17 points. AAA continues his fine form as he managed a CR on the Gamball, backed that up with 2 other CSs and did all this despite seeing his Bonus game postponed!! Zinman also had no Bonus this week ad he too scored a CR on the Gamball. This top 3 have now been the top 3 for the past couple of weeks and have dominated the top half of the weekly table for the past 5 weeks!!

Stairs and Minizin finally found a bit of form, for contrast to the three above, these long term top two have only been in the top 3 scores once each over the past 5 weeks!! Stairs scored on 7 games but all were CRs, Minizin scored a max on his Bonusbut wasn’t able to convert any of his other CRs into CSs. BaggieOne and BaggieVicar both ended with 11 points, the Vicar missed out on 2 points by not playing the Gamball and B1 got a CR on his Gamball.

Twerton is the only player not to reach double figures, ending with 9 points, his best score for 5 weeks but it still leaves him in last place, a position he has occupied for 5 weeks out of the last 9!!

263 Minizin
260 A.A.A.
250 Stairs
233 Zinman
229 B.B.B.
227 BaggieOne
221 BaggieVicar
190 Twerton

Not change in the top 3 places, but AAA is now just 3 points behind long time leader Minizin with Stairs now 10 points further back!! Zinman now has 4th place on his own and BBB owns 5th spot, just 4 points separate them. Right on their heels though is BaggieOne with BaggieVicar still within reach of the top 4. Twerton is still searching for that double century. Looks like this will go down to the wire with 7 players in with a chance of the Playoffs!!

Cheers

Lady Jane 17
Derby 14
4eva 13
Themaclad 12
SCO 11
Amelia 6
Salop 5
Snooty 4

FA cup weekend brought its usual supply of shocks - Mansfield winning at Burnley, Wolves winning and Albion scoring. It also produced some more expected results - Villa benefitting from some dubious refereeing decisions, Albion losing and Derby failing to nail any correct scores!

With one match postponed, thereby negating a number of balls (please check this week's fixtures to see who has extra balls to play), scoring was quite good and continued the recent run of above average scores for Group B. Correct scores were hard to come by - just 3 this week - though we almost had a full set of scoreball points, only denied by the postponement. One game caused particular problems, nobody predicting Villa's defeat. Blackburn's win at QPR was also missed by everyone but at least that game didn't cost any balls.

Lady Jane heads the table, scoring on the week's high of 6 games including one of the 3 correct scores and both the main balls. She did miss out on the scoreball point by playing it on the postponed fixture. Derby was the only player to get a full set of balls though once again his inability to nail a correct score cost him a chance of top place. His bad luck on this aspect of the predictions is quite stark. He has just 10 correct scores all season with the next lowest players, SCO and Snooty on 17 (4eva has 28!). 4eva takes 3rd place, just a point behind Derby. 4eva did get a correct score but lost a point on the gamball. Themaclad and SCO also made it to double figures, Themaclad being one of 2 group B players to play the bonus ball on the postponed game.

A bit of a gap to the bottom 3. Amelia and Salop both scored on just 3 games though in Amelia's case those included the gamball. Salop picked the 3rd correct score in an otherwise disappointing week. That leaves Snooty at the foot of the table with just 2 correct predictions. He was another player to void his bonus which, depending which way you look at it either prevented him from moving up the table or dropping 3 points further back!

263 4eva
247 SCO
218 Lady Jane
206 Themaclad
192 Amelia
187 Snooty
186 Derby
171 Salop

No changes in the table this week though I suspect SCO is anxiously looking at Group A in the chase for the play-offs.

The Play-Off Positions

1: Minizin - 263 points
2: 4eva - 263

3: AAA - 260
4: Stairs - 250
5: SCO - 247
6: Zinman - 233

7: BBB - 4 points behind Playoff places
8: BaggieOne - 6
9: BaggieVicar - 12
10: Lady Jane - 20
10: Themaclad - 27
12: Amelia - 41
13: Twerton - 43
14: Snooty - 46
15: Derby - 47
16: Salop - 62

So the playoff positions are still dominated by Group A but whereas a few weeks ago some players were looking safe, there are now a number of players looking over their shoulders. Minizin or AAA are looking good for the first round bye and 4eva is probably feeling a bit safer now with SCO being 16 points back. Stairs looks good but the final spot realistically could be any one from the next 4 players - Zinman, BBB, B1 and the Vicar, and if SCO or Stairs have a couple of bad weeks then they too may get sucked into that fight!!

Looks like we have a race on in the final few weeks!!!
