I think we tried Devon according to noises off. We paid far more for Taylor who is now at Wigan for the rest of the season. Think Boro won out because they proably offered him more than us, they appear to be more stable than us (for now) and their current players are more likely to get their club promoted. Of course, had he waited a week he might have made a different decision if part of the issue was the manager.
We all make decisions, or sometimes have them made for us, that we have to live with when they go chesticles up.

I think Leo would prefer playing for fans who don't chant Your Football Is Shite.
Why would anybody want to do well for this toxic fanbase?

Leo has chosen to spend his weekdays at least in a pretty horrible place with a distant prospect of reaching the Premier League.
The thing is you have been in prime position to have made approaches to Chelsea well before the window opened. He himself will have been delighted how well things went for him with you, after years of injury and travail. He was once a shining light at Chelsea. Very quickly you all recognised on here that you had got something pretty special, but it was also obvious he belonged to a club with an abundance of talent and money where he was almost certainly surplus to requirements. If you could see it, why couldn't those whose voices matter?
If you'd lost out but forced the price up to over a couple of million then that would show ambition. I don't think toxic fans are your only problem. Unfortunately though, whatever path you choose, those fans have to come on board with it or they will turn wine into ditchwater for you.

Except we've only got one point against the best in 7 games if the top 6 or 7 are the best in this division. Burton have issues with clubs in mid-table but against those same top 7 clubs they's got 4 wins and a draw in 8 games. We've conceded 3 goals on 7 occasions, 6 of them away. I was surprised he survived when the home fans turned on him after the Wigan game. It looked like he'd somewhat learned his lesson over the Christmas period and went a bit more on the front foot. It was very quickly apparent he hadn't on Saturday, when the away fans turned on him again.

If a manager turns things around and starts winning matches the fan base will always change its opinion and all its demands for a particular brand of football quicker than a Donald Trump tweet.
In Division One Huddersfield expects to win matches and be pushing for promotion. When it looks as though that isn't happening dissatisfaction appears like black mould.
You obviously have a bigger problem than the manager, because you keep choosing failures.
