He was either hit or miss, most games he was missing but would pop up in the right place at the right time. However with Grant he was playing most games out of position which didn’t help him or the team much.

Good - we ain't improving someone else's keeper at the expense of one of ours anymore. He was worse than what we already had in my opinion and a big part of the issues with Grant. Grant (and Palace) think/thought he's a good keeper. There's probably better playing in the local leagues.

Castledine is better than most of what we already have. I'll take lads like him all season (and next).

Wiles gone to MK Dons - 'nuf sed.

Castledine now supposedly signing for Boro. It was Watford the other day.

and a Boro fan says "we need a goalscorer in" ... smog still gettin in the Smoggies eyes then? Doh

Cameron Humphreys has joined Town on loan from, er, Ipswich, quelle surprise. He's a midfielder, signed just in time to fill a spot vacated by another midfielder.

So long as we get a replacement. We have plenty of midfielders but a lot of them are long term injured.

Wiles out.

Humphreys in.

Chelsea have terminated Leo Castledine’s loan with Huddersfield Town and sold the midfielder to Middlesbrough in a permanent move.

Seems he doesn't read my posts. Oh well. He also won the League One Player of the Month award for December.

Good luck to him, I still reckon he's got a future in the Prima Donna League and probably at international level too.

If Chelsea sell him to Boro, then they're stupid. Who in that current Chelsea squad is as good as he is?

They've a bit of a monopoly on young kids in the London and South East area, they've had it for years. They sell a few on to comply with FFP or whatever it's called these days. Then occassionally buy one back later for funny money. Owning a bunch of clubs across Europe and well beyond means they can shuffle money and players around to keep the players away from other clubs whilst giving them playing time and keep the money away from prying eyes at FIFA, UEFA, the FA and HMRC.

The likes of Amazon, eBay, Microsoft, Tesla etc. do a similar thing with their money - obviously the majority of their employees are not on the sort of contracts that Chelesea players are on. The guys at the top however ...... Whistle
