"Wales are home to Japan in the RU Egg Chasing so trains into Cardiff might be busier that normal". Didn't realise there were so many Japanese rugby fans living over here.

Apparently on Sky Sports+ that I've already paid for or I can spend £52 on a train ticket and £5 or £10 on a match ticket depending on whether or not I'm classed as a concession.

There was a time when 30% off your train tickets meant you got a decent price i.e you got about a 3rd off £40-£50 to travel to some reasonable part of the country that wasn't London. It wasn't that long ago. You don't even get the big discounts (which were often 25-50%) off Advanced tickets anymore either. I don't get how what used to be ~£25 to get to Haifax or Huddersfield from Wolvo less than 5 years ago is now £40-£50 (with a Railcard in both instances). I doubt I'll bother with a Railcard once this one expires as it's now far cheaper to drive and at the moment the couple of times a year I use it to go to London to get to Heathrow, I'm more or less breaking even. Current prices - £40 return to Marylebone full price. £26.60 with a Railcard. So £13.40 saving per trip. New Railcard cost is now £35/year or £80 for 3 years which is around £26.66 per year. So unless I start spending more money on weekends/day trips to London, and it costs about the the same to go to Manchester, what's the point and why would I bother when I can spend the train ticket money locally? If they want us off the roads and on public transport, they need a big rethink.

I've done the Brewers thread almost everytime we've played them - time for someone else to get a round in. Get yer 'ands in yer pockets. They can't be that deep. Which leaves me with Pish Posh again for January - beggars can't be choosers.

February - Stevenage for the St. Valentines Day Mascara match.
March - I'll go pottering around in the Port Vale potteries. Feet of clay and all that. I might even go to that game.
April - I'm a Wanderer, yes I'm a Wanderer (well you know where I live) - I'll Wander Round and Round and Round and Round and Round. Both of those games as a double header.
I'll May-be keep my tinder dry for a play-off game in May. Hope I can take the month off but it's a big if right now. Well, not if we stay where we are it isn't.

Willing to fill any other gaps that appear as we go along as usual.
