Division One results for Matchday 10: The bottom two were the top two this week and have squeezed the whole table closer together. Lord Snooty and ritchiebaby both scored 16 points, which included an 8 point joker for Snooty. Thank you, Spurs. Three others got the Leeds/Spurs score correct, including ritchie.
Jjamez scored 12 and Baggie Bob got 10, meaning that Bob's lead at the top is cut to 8 points. Neonfoxinthebox came in with the lowest score again this week, while Shep once more didn't show up, but scored 10 on default scores.
So although there are no positional changes this week, there are now only 26 points from top to bottom of the table.
EDIT: just added two points I missed for BaggieBob.

Division Two results for Matchday 10: Only 4 points between all six players this week, with a three way tie for the top scorer. St Charles, theo and Wakey all scored 14. Theo and SCO both having correct jokers in their total.
Devongone and Amelia were just a couple of points behind on 12. Dev was the only one to get the Town result correct and Amelia got her joker wrong again.
Themaclad is still top of the table, but had the lowest score this week, with just 10 points despite having a correct joker and a correct badger scorer.
So mac still has a big lead, but it's cut to 18 points now. Theo and Devon are both pushing each other for the Play Off spot, theo being three points ahead. Then there's a 26 point gap to SCO in 4th with 5th placed Wakey and Amelia in 6th, not far behind.

Shep - DO NOT WORK SO HARD!
I am very worried I may be turning into the Huddersfield Prediction Octopus. I have got all Huddersfield's last three matches spot on. If I start getting the scorers too I'll be checking my tentacles.
I'm NOT getting any others right!!!

Agree with what Devon says SHEP. Unless it's your own company, you can work your bollocks off for reasonable praise and the occasional promotion and maybe a half decent salary. I went down that track for probably 30-40 years and thought I'd made a bit of a name for myself in the industry I was in. Wasn't bothered about working until midnight to get reports/price increases done. Pissed my other half off at the time for writing computer code (that wasn't the main part of my job by the way, I learned how to do it to make my job easier) while she watched some crap on the TV I wasn't really interested in. If it's your own company you can still work your ass off for little return too.
That's great until a competitor, or worse still, a Private Equity/Vulture Capital business starts hoovering up companies like yours. If there's a direct rival in the other business, or businesses, doing the same job as you, if your lucky you'll get the job. Depends on who else is batting for you. They don't seem to do any interview process to decide who to keep. Or they might park you in a corner using about 20% of your knowledge like happened to me then wonder why you're pissed off with them.
I've seen everyone from MD's to Receptionists get the boot so the incumbents at the takeover company keep their job no matter how useless they are. If they don't keep you you'll get a redundancy package at whatever your company contract says (which if it's Government minimum it's about 2/3rds of bugger all) and not the enhanced one the company that bought yours might have, unless they keep you on for a while and then blow away the law about keeping you on under the same contract/terms. That can work two ways if you agree to it. It's sometimes worth paying a few hundred to a legal eagle with business law experience for an hours advice to tell you where you stand.
That said - I've also laughed like a drain when the bastards that took us over were also taken over themselves a few years later and they all suddenly found out what the shitty end of the stick actually looked like. You've got to have a picture in your minds eye of a bunch of arrogant bastards all holding a P45.

It's shafting lots of hard working folk out of a job in the name of making themselves a fortune. Daft thing is, the Vultures/PE lot make their money, which goes to very few people, by selling all the assets, but they leave behind hollowed out shells of businesses, that own nothing and are once again renting the premises they once owned for years (often from the Vultures other businesses) or have been forced to move elsewhere.
Once in a while this lot invest in a start up but they all still expect a return in 3-4 years, not 10-25 years. When it doesn't happen in their time line they pull the plug and get their fingers burned, so they don't do it too often.

It's good that we can actually be concerned for Shep, even though in my case I don't know him and there is next to no chance we'll ever meet.
Bleak as Theo's assessment is, I can't argue with it.
It is a system to which we tacitly agree every day of our lives and which we help to perpetuate.
I'm 73 and a natural loafer, but if there were barricades to man I'd be there tomorrow. "From each according to his ability to each according to his need". That's me.
If Shep is working so selflessly hard to fulfil a genuine need, that's wonderful. If the result of his labours is filling fat shareholder pockets that is a differnet matter. Look after yourself too Shep.
