WBA vs Portsmouth - Match Thread

A fortnight in, the table is an interesting and unexpectedly welcome sight as Albion join Middlesbrough and Stoke as the only three teams with six points on the board. Of course, there's still plenty of time and scope for things to go Albionically wrong, as they did after a similar start this time last year, but for now we can enjoy the ride, and hope it gets better still with the visit of Portsmouth to the Hawthorns tomorrow.

Pompey, of course, continue to be winless in West Bromwich since 1998, though they're unbeaten in their last three awaydays and emerged victorious from two of them. The fecund goalscoring form of Isaac Price will be crucial to the Baggies in this encounter, while Portsmouth are without captain Marlon Pack, Callum Lang and Harvey Blair. On paper, we have to look to make it nine points out of nine this weekend, and though reality always tends to delight in micturating on our best-laid plans from an exceptionally lofty altitude, there's no doubt after the first fortnight that Mason and the boys are capable of getting the job done.

Yup, let's enjoy the first 2 games and the promise that it hints at..... but not expect that it will continue, even if everything says that it should.
This IS West Bromwich Albion!!

Baggietrousers,

My mate who is a Stokey showed me the refereeing decisions. Even he said it was a clear penalty and a red card, also the pull back was a professional foul last man clean through goal scoring opportunity, should have been a second red card.
Why do we get all the decisions against us, who in the fa have we upset?

North End had that crap all last season, saw the highlights last night abysmal decisions
Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?
