Pre season suicide watch Sheffield Wednesdayfc

We are officially under embargo today on the EFL website no mentions yet how we can get out of it if at all this time!
Tbh all we've spent in 5 seasons is 2million pounds worth of doghshit in ugbo anyway ... everything has been loans and free transfers!
Sure you would have to be mental or completely crap to join us on free this summer under the circumstances and as for loans which club is going to loan us players to an owner who can't pay his bills on time ? And the uncertainty of a manager that could leave at any given minute !

That would be exceptionally stupid for Chansiri's family to start provoking the fans it's going to make a bad situation turn volatile.

The rage towards Chansiri is justified. No decent player in their right kind would be looking at us as an option.

What a shitshow! Trapped with an even smaller squad of L1 players now.
Two derby batterings on the cards and probably a a thrashing from little Wrexham too.

Think we should all forget about football and join Maddix.

John Flanagan is a member of an US-based consortium which has made bids to purchase the club. He spoke to BBC Radio Sheffield on Tuesday about where they currently stand.

"We originally approached the team back in April with an offer. That offer was promptly rejected," Flanagan said.

"After a couple of weeks of seeing some new developments with the club, we went back with an improved offer about a week-and-a-half ago. That offer was also rejected, also with no counter-offer.

"Our offer we thought was a fair offer with upfront money but with some significant, we will call them kickers, on the back end should the club be able to achieve certain successes."

Flanagan added it was the Owls' history which drew his attention to the club and that the "goal is to rebuild the foundation of Sheffield Wednesday", but as it stands, he and his consortium are no closer to taking ownership.

As for what it has been like to try and purchase the side, the American said it has been a "unique" experience for him.

"It's been a bit surprising. I've done a lot of business, had a lot negotiations throughout my career, and this has been the most unique to say the least," he added.

"It may be a cultural thing that I'm not understanding, every country is a little bit different in how they do business negotiations, but I was a bit surprised that even on the second offer, we were basically told if this is what you are willing to spend, then go and buy a League One or League Two club."

He just needs to wait a season then Laugh

Chamsiri will intentionally dissuade these potential buyers. It's pretty obvious he's no benevolent dictator.

"Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has provided a shock insight into how Chansiri’s SWFC valuation has plummeted. He said:

“I was reading one story this morning that Chansiri has been in contact with people.

“His initial asking price was £350m – that is quite ludicrous. We saw Derby County go for £60m.
I’ve had conversations with some people who said he was asking for £150m, and I’ve heard from yet a third party that that priced has now been halved yet again and he’s now looking for £75m to £80m.

“It’s not worth that in my view. Having done the very crude calculations that we use in the world of football finance, my gut feeling is somewhere between £40m and £50m would be a fair price"

No way he'd part with us for that.

Am I missing something Huh

If Chansiri was running any other company in UK using the same methods as he runs Wednesday, (not paying wages, over stating the value of assets and the other suspicious behaviour etc) the Serious Fraud Squad and various government departments would have stepped in and be investigating by now. No, just let the EFL deal with it and f'uck the people who aren't being paid the minimum wage or any wage at all. Where's HMRC, the DWP etc ?

Why are football clubs deemed to be so different from any other employer ?

We've cut the 'red tape' for certain business' to give them more freedom after complaints we were 'stifling growth' and "strangling' them.. Doh

Looks like we're going to be selling yet another England youth in Cadamarteri.
No Championship club should be in this position and yet here we are, again.

Where are the adults? Or is it truly that bad that Chansiri just ignores the requests of all his staff??
