To be fair to the owners / directors, if they want Mason then they have had to wait for the greed league to finish, the elite six and 14 hangers on to get their noses out of the trough and fook off before they could talk to him. He may or may not want the job, it's closed season let's make the right choice as we have time rather than a knee jerk that is sacked three months in. Build for the future but build right.

The Championship club are now in advanced talks to appoint the 33-year-old with a breakthrough in discussions near.

It stinks, reminds me of when we waited for big Dave's assistant only to find out it was Jones. Why we prepared to wait weeks was a joke. It's the dithering that makes a joke of our due diligence. We should know all about available managers before we dismissed Mowbary. We need to clear all and I mean all of the admin and backroom staff out of the club. They're just hangers on, like Pearce and Miles. They continue to show why we are continue to be an underperforming joke.

I feel just the same, Blue, and can't believe this is The Albion (11th in the All-time League).
But nowadays - especially in Football - Money is Everything, and all Clubs owned by the egotistical playboys will thrive. You can't keep up paying multimillion wages when attendances are fairly low and you're out of The Prem.
Having those thoughts has turned me off Football (except for the Albion)!! But.....

Albion News website ( I know) is claiming Paul Simonis the manager of Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles, has flown in for interview, being viewed as a second choice. That said I can not think of one thing I have ever seen on there ahead of an 'official' announcement that turned out to prove accurate.

Is he bringing his assistant, Art Garfunkelis?
